tv and cleaning - the *fun* Saturday

i'm so frelling tired and I'm still not done cleaning. Do not invite sorority sisters down for a weekend when your apartment is a mess. That's something I need to remember in the future.

Basically, that was my day. Ran some errands, paid my rent, and the began the torturous undertaking of cleaning my apartment - still not done! Ack!

Tomorrow people keep trying to get me to be social, but I really have a lot of writing to get done that I've put off until the last possible second before Nano - must resist the appeal of hanging with friends and getting scared silly on some ghost tour.

Anyway, I did watch some television:

Okay, I never really got invested in Troy, but what the hell was that? It sort of left me going, "huh?" I don't get why he would get Veronica involved in his life if his ultimate goal was to that whole thing with Tijuana. It just doesn't make sense to me. I mean, if you think about it, he probably would've gotten away with it without a problem had he not been doing whatever with Veronica.

It's nice to see Logan back to his normal bastard self, though I still love him. He's a cutie! (This surely says so much about why my love life has always been in such disarray - I love the assholes.)

I want more Weevil, dammit.

Another thing that makes me go, "Huh?" is this stuff with her mother. So what's her mother running from? Does she know who killed Lily?

Not my favorite episode - but I still enjoyed it.

Can I marry Charlie? Please! And how about Jack? And some Sawyer wouldn't be too bad either.

Sun's story was interesting to see played out - it'll be interesting to find out why she didn't end up leaving her husband like she had planned to.

Her husband still freaks me out - I get that it's about "honor" and everything, but practically killing Michael over a watch? When he knew that everyone had been going through the belongings and taking things? That was one of those "huh" moments.

I love Locke and how he's trying to be this support network for Charlie. I loved his line about having faith - and the look on Charlie's face when he looked up and there was his guitar. Le sigh.

Dom is a better man than I to be around those bees - good Lord, you couldn't pay me enough to let a gnat land on my face, let alone a bee.

So the split of the group has begun - it should be interesting to see how this proceeds.

Dear JJ,

As a fan of Alias from the pilot, I understand your annoying love of torturing your audience, never explaining things until you're bored with it or it suits your needs, and being downright insane. I accept it on most occasions because you are (putting season 3 of Alias aside) brilliant. HOWEVER, can you please tell me what Kate did? I'd really like to know. Oh, and where is Jack's zombie dad? And I don't trust Boone - he's too cute, ya know?

Thanks!

Next week's episode seems very Charlie-oriented and that makes me a very happy girl.

Okay, I'm just gonna say it. I didn't really like this episode. It had its good moments, but it's not up to the par I've grown accostumed to with this show.

I don't believe that Joan, no matter how caught up in this economics stuff or how much influence Judith has, would steal from the homeless (though I did love that scene with Adam, "But you stole from the homeless, Jane.")

It was weird the information that Will's boss managed to get on the family suing them. I have to agree with the ex-nun about Helen...countersuing is a necessary thing when dealing with people who are such utter asses for people.

And I don't care if it was "emotional" for Kevin's best friend and while I agree that Kevin should've taken the keys - uh...get over it, asshole. Your best friend is in a wheelchair and the Girardis never attempted to hold you accountable...so the fact that you can't sleep at night or that you can't go to college? Wah, cry you a river. You're an adult. Take accountability for your own actions.

Oh the anger I feel toward a fictional character! I need therapy!

Dear Kevin,

I love you, I do, but please don't do comedy ever again. There is a difference between being every day funny and being able to do a set on a stage in front of a crowd. I mean, I'm a laugh riot by the standards of my office, but you wouldn't see me going on stage.

Your jokes weren't that funny - I don't believe those people were laughing! It was awkward and uncomfortable - like conversations with old people.

Tah!

Next week's episode looks like it should be good though.

Finally, I'll probably post this in my regular journal too because I think it's important, so I apologize if you read both.

I think this is something everyone should be aware of whether you're Republican, Democrat, whatever.

Okay, I'm off to watch a scary movie to really cap this long, miserable Saturday.
