catch up time...

Dear Friends List,

I hold you all responsible for me downloading the first few episodes of the new Dr. Who and therefore falling madly in love with it. As my coworkers like to point out, I "...watch a lot of television." And it's not like I can even claim that I'm showless during the summer, what with the 4400, QAF, and the soon-to-be returning Sci-Fi Friday.

Oh the humanity. My tivo will never catch a break and neither will my computer.

You're lucky I love you all and really, can I hold you responsible for having faboo taste?

Yours,

Tommygirl

So yeah, I really needed another television addiction at the moment. Aside from that I've been going to the movies to avoid the heat, hanging out in the library to avoid the heat, and curling up in my bed under a huge fan.

I hate the heat. If I ever mentioned a great distaste for winter, I take it back!

I have managed to get a bit of writing done amidst the headache 'o doom, tv digestion, and backstreet boys day! I need to get more writing done in the next few days so I really need to force people to stop liking me so much and wanting to hang out. Or maybe just learn to say "no" when people ask me to do things.

As I mentioned, yesterday was Backstreet Boys day. God, if I didn't get all excited like I used to - damn boyband addictions just stick with you for life! I watched their behind the music and they were all so mean to Brian. Brian is my favorite. As is AJ, but my love for him is very, very different. I did get annoyed with all the Nsync rode our coattails, blah, blah, blah. Whatever. Yes, I'm biased because I'm an Nsync girl at heart (if one must choose)...but I get that they had an easier time of breaking through, but please. They're just as freaking talented and you're pissed because they sold more albums than you with No Strings Attached. Deal with it. Move on. But oh, the Stalker Trilogy writer in me just wants to go *crazy* with this stuff. Hee.

I've only played the album twice all the way through, but I enjoy it thus far. Didn't get tickets for the shows and am not planning to. My friend and I decided that after we saw them 2nd row, center on the Black & Blue Tour, we can say we reached the pinnacle of BSB concert attending.

But good album. If you love pop, you should pick up a copy.

I updated [livejournal.com profile] quillandink with some new prompts and current challenges. [livejournal.com profile] sdlucly - you must go over there and look at the Mr. & Mrs. Smith one...and write me Seth meets the Tank, his long-lost twin...and they decide to switch places, but Ryan totally figures out that it's not *his* seth and chaos ensues. So yeah, get to it, chica.

Also, go and help save NPR and PBS!!! How can anyone grow up without Reading Rainbow? And I don't think I can survive without my NPR. I have an addiction. I might die.

Finally, [livejournal.com profile] carmen_sandiego posted some pretty Mr. & Mrs. Smith icons, including the pretty one I'm using.

Not much else to report. My life is busy, but with lame, mundane things. Nothing of interest to share with y'all - unless you're all dying to know that I just got a box from UPS of clothes from Old Navy.

Hope you all are staying cool in this monsterous heat (if it's affecting you) and having a good week.
