deep thoughts (not really) on a friday

So last night's debate. I'm pretty talked out on my opinions on the whole thing. I'm a Kerry/Edwards supporter (I love John Edwards!) and have been pretty much against every single piece of legislation/action that our current president has taken. Basically, Kerry was preaching to the converted.

There were moments that I did love though that made me think of Kerry as more than "A step in the right direction."

And while everyone else harps on Bush's overuse of the phrase, "It's hard work" (which was annoying), I found it much more disconcerting that he tended to refer to Iraq as a her. I didn't know Iraq was a woman. "We can not abandon her. Iraq needs to be able to take care of herself." I turned to my sister and said, "Does he mean itself?" "No, don't you know that all Middle Eastern countries are girls."

Loved the Daily Show coverage afterward. Loved the whole bit on the undecided because that's something that continues to baffle me too. How can you be undecided when the candidates differ so much?

Started a new Charmed story. Of course it's Chris angst. Because what I need to be writing is more Chris angst when I have a Roswell ficathon piece to finish this weekend.

Everyone please remind not to sign up for anymore ficathons. After this one I have the Bubble Ficathon and then...that's it. No more for awhile. Must stop and focus on some other stuff. Must fight the addiction.

Are there ficathon support groups?

Alright, not much else to report. Is it wrong to admit that I'm really enjoying Joey? I totally didn't expect to like it, but I do. Go figure.

It's all angsty set during the season with his thoughts before telling anyone who he is--because they were all so mean to him at times.

Damn the Chris muse! he's so mean to me.
