So I mentioned this over at my personal journal and there were a few people interested, so I'm opening it up to those on my friends list over here. I've started a community (shallowbookfun), where people can exchange book recommendations, babble on about a particular book they just read (without having to make it sound like a college essay), and/or swap paperbacks with other members.

Basically, it came about because I love to read, but a lot of the book groups on livejournal seem to require 1) that it go like a bookclub or 2) that you provide a meaningful reasoning for liking a book, and it must be a literary book. And sometimes, I like chick lit or young adult. And sometimes I have nothing more to say about a book than, "Ranger is so hot."
