I'd be more thankful it was friday if it was 5pm...

Reading through some of the suggestions for obscure fandoms over at [livejournal.com profile] yuletide has gotten me quite excited for this year. Even if none of my suggested fandoms are incorporated, there still seems to be a large number of fandoms that fill me with many ideas and hope for great fic.

But it would be great if Road to Avonlea ends up on the list. I'd love for someone to write some Felicity/Gus fic. My love for those two knows no bounds.

Oh, and I know that at least [livejournal.com profile] iamtheenemy will like the idea of this. I also suggested Jessica Darling books for possible fandom. Because there really should be some Jessica Darling/Marcus Flutie fiction in the world and we have until April until Megan McCafferty releases the next book.

So yay for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide! I can't wait. That and [livejournal.com profile] bubbleficathon has me all excited for challenges in a way I haven't felt lately.

Still madly in love with Supernatural and I have tons of fic ideas (though I'm still working on my first longer-than-drabble piece). However, I have no time for numerous fic ideas! I have to write 98 more Chris Perry Halliwell stories for [livejournal.com profile] fanfic100 and I haven't even started my Seth Cohen crossovers for [livejournal.com profile] crossovers100. What was I smoking the day I signed up for these? Good Lordy!

That does remind me that when I have some free time, I really need to go back to the two communities and read a bunch of the stuff posted and leave some feedback. I've been terrible with providing the feedback lately - and it's something I try to do with any story that I like.

Regarding Nano, I've come to a decision about my participation. I've decided not to participate by hurrying to finish one 50,000 word novel that will ultimately stress me out and make me feel like an abject failure (as it has almost every year in the past - I finished the first year...barely.). Instead, I'm going to use Nano month as a push just to write every day and not worry about word count. I have so much writing in fandom and real life to get done, this shouldn't be a problem...and maybe it will provide me with some discipline that I so strongly need.

But I'd love to keep up with y'all's progress on such things. I'm cheering you on from my lazy couch.

Not much else to report...am at work and I'm counting down the hour and a half until the weekend. It's a long weekend for me, as I have a floating holiday on monday! Woo-hoo.

Now I shall go attempt to write some.

Ciao, my friends!

Felicity/Gus! OMG, I soooooo loved them. Ok, I loved Gus, and his endless patience with Felicity, and his yummy accent, and those turtleneck fisherman's sweaters he wore...

Oh, I was madly in love with Gus...and I loved the end, how she found out he was alive and they got their happily ever after. Because it just wouldn't have been the same otherwise.

Felicity/Gus!!! DUDE! That must be written. There's already like a million fandoms on the list I want to write for and have written for me but I don't know if I could pass up Avonlea fic.

[identity profile] storydivagirl.livejournal.com 2005-10-28 12:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Me either! Well, that's if it makes the final cut. ::fingers crossed:: But I could definitely use some good Felicity/Gus fic because I tend to fear things posted at fanfiction.net

*Nods* I agree about NaNo. I never finish it, so this year, I'm using the time to work on WIPs. I will finish these two long Charmed crossovers. I will.

Now if only everyone in my real life would go away and leave me alone for a weekend. I love them dearly, but I need some anti-social time.

We can just bug each other throughout the month with, "Are you writing? Write, dude." And not worry about that word counter that stays on low numbers and makes you cry.

Yes, real life can be so bad like that. Like I have both friends and the boy coming down tomorrow to go out to the Eastern State Penitentiary Ghost Tour...uh...

[identity profile] dragonsinger.livejournal.com 2005-10-29 07:44 am (UTC)(link)
At least it's not the boy and his mother. *Sigh* I'm just hanging in here.

Oh, I'd die. Luckily Steve's mother and father have retired to the Poconos, so they're always doing recreational, crazy stuff. Though, I do get along with them pretty well (long before steve and i were dating, we were friends for many years)

Oh, I thought the future MIL would never leave. I like her...she's very nice, but three days is way too long. *Headdesk* She even told me not to forget to lock the door after they leave. Yeah, like I leave it unlocked all the time. *Rolls eyes*

I'm writing a Supernatural fic right now, and the boys won't let it end. It keeps growing and growing...

They are dangerous.

Although, hee, I am always one to enable more fic in fandoms I love! *makes it fit into your schedule*

[identity profile] storydivagirl.livejournal.com 2005-10-28 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, my current fic won't end. I blame the banter - those two like to banter with each other!

::allows you to make time in my schedule:: (Shhh...don't let that get out.)

Is [livejournal.com profile] yuletide already up for signups?

[identity profile] storydivagirl.livejournal.com 2005-10-29 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I think sign-ups are starting on November 1st and suggestions for master list/characters closes on October 30th. I can't wait. I love yuletide!

[identity profile] iamtheenemy.livejournal.com 2005-10-29 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Marcus/Jessica fic!!! *dies* Oh, that would be so fucking *perfect.*

I wish I wrote in a small fandom. Hmm...do you think QAFUK counts? I think that's all I would want to write and read.

[identity profile] storydivagirl.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 06:50 am (UTC)(link)
Check out the masterlist...there might be something else that intrigues you too...so much! However, since you didn't participate last year, if you wanted to *write* for it, you'd have to write a New years story by tomorrow. Heh.

And yes, I need some Marcus/Jessica...and we don't get a new book until April - APRIL is too far away!
