I won't let the weather bring me down...

Happy Friday!

I am having so much fun over at Sweet Charity making bids on people's talents. Alas, I'm pretty poor so I'm not going to be able to do a lot, but it's still fun. And remember everyone: you have until March 24th to get any bids in if you're interested.

So let's cut right to what's important. Supernatural was new last night and I loved it as always!

Episode 2.16 - Road Kill

It was an interesting take on the episode, having it be from the guest star's perspective up until the very end. It's not something I'd personally want for most of my episodes - as I'm in it for Sam and Dean - but it worked for this episode with the big reveal.

And I really didn't see it coming until they pulled up to her husband's house. And all the little bits of information that we then see. It worked. And it makes a whole lot more sense why Sam was so hesitant to roll down the window when Molly appeared. Because at first that seemed a little off to me.

I still think Sam was talking both about himself and Molly when he went on about them being good people before supernatural stuff just happened to them...and that he believes in the end, they still can be saved.

I love that Kripke builds on what we learn from the Reaper in In My Time of Dying when she's talking with Dean. That spirits are created when they can't move on and it eventually drives them mad. And I still believe that Dean had decided to accept his death at that point, no matter what anyone else says. Because Dean would NOT want to become what he hunted. That went against everything he was about. And he wouldn't want to eventually end up hurting Sam or his father either.

The thing about this episode that I loved from the outsider's perspective is how Sam and Dean work together. They have the most amazing dynamic between them. Dean is blunt and less worried about feelings than he is about keeping people safe by getting the thing. Sam is more worried about taking care of those in that moment and trying to be reasonable. And it works for them...they are a great team together. ::squishes her boys::

I love how Dean is the one to go in and deal with the farmer ghost. That he just puts himself in harm's way without thought and that he counts on Sam to take care of things. So perfectly them.

Overall, a wonderful episode. Not my favorite, but damn good.

And then there was new Ugly Betty

Betty's orthodontist/date is Richie from The Class. I love Richie!

The Daniel/Chin stuff was okay, but I didn't really care about it. And I don't understand why Daniel couldn't just go to Alexis and tell her about what his mother confessed...and that he was trying to keep their MOTHER safe. Sure, she hates their father, but she cares about their mother too. Instead, it just spiraled. Stupid boys.

I love Henry! He rocks! And I want him and Betty to get together. But why must they turn Charlie into this annoying character? I liked her enough in the last episode, but in this one, she came across as someone I'd want to punch. But I think Betty's decision at the end was the right thing to do. You can't just be friends with someone you're in love with right away. It's weird and awkward and you never really get to move on. I mean, I don't want her to move on. I want Henry to break up with Charlie so he and Betty can date.

Though, I'm still Betty/Daniel girl at heart.

I feel bad for Christina, but really, she should just tell Betty. Betty would understand that she didn't know what was happening in the beginning...but by continuing to do it, it's just bad. Stand up for yourself.

I do love evil, plotting Wil and Mark always rocks.

Amanda's outfit was crazy and I loved that it was a joke on her, but her ego at the end kept her from seeing it.

I love that Daniel's mom and Betty have bonded. Basically, I love Daniel's mom. She rocks in all her craziness.

Good stuff. This show is fun and wonderful.

It was so lovely here in the middle of the week and now they're calling for sleet and snow starting this afternoon into tomorrow. Such a fun weekend. So i'll probably end up not going to NYC to see the boy and just laze about, writing, reading and watching movies. I really need to do some writing that's more than just scribbled notes in one of my numerous notebooks. So many ideas, so little time. Okay, it's more like: so many ideas, so little energy.

Ciao.

Yay! Maybe I'll see you online, then. I mean, not yay for bad weather, but yay for seeing Tommygirl!

Also, I bid on you! I got outbid, though. Maybe I should just beg and bat my eyelashes for a birthday fic :D

Whu? People are saying differently??

It definitely was interesting, not my favorite episode by far, but I can't say it's my least favorite, either. There are always these 'eh' episodes, and it just makes me more excited for future episodes because they're usually stellar. SPN rarely dips into a slump for long.

Arg, I have very little money to spend at Sweet Charity, too, but I love watching the numbers rise! When fandom does awesome stuff like this, it always makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I'm warm and fuzzy a lot. :D
