sometimes subjects are overrated

There's a new Project Runway tonight. Woo-hoo. The show is like crack, people. Six months ago if you had told me that I'd be this into a reality show that wasn't American Idol, I would've laughed. Damn my best friend for making me watch seasons 1 & 2. Damn Tim Gunn for existing. (Note: I will not damn my love for Daniel V, for that is pure and wonderful, and he and I are going to hang out with my Barbie Fashionplates one day...)

Our landlord's handy man (Ironic in that I think the guy causes more problems than he actually fixes) is supposed to come out tonight and replace the dishwasher. He better not forget. I hate handwashing dishes. It's so...old-fashioned.

I accomplished no writing yesterday on my Supernatural Summer stuff or my SPN State story. I'm ashamed of my lack of productivity, but that doesn't really motivate me to move any faster. Instead, I spent most of yesterday cooking and cleaning. How far gone is my writing inspiration when I'm choosing cleaning the kitchen over writing?

Someone inspire me.

Or slap me over the head.

So I'm going to be in my thirties on August 28th. The good news is that I'm once again turning it into a weekend extravaganza, taking off on the Friday before and the monday of my birthday. And I know I'm getting a Coach bag from the boy (since I handed it to him and said, "Get me this for my b-day.") so I must focus on the good stuff. Me getting presents = fun times.

Some pimpage:

-It's not too late to participate in [livejournal.com profile] medie's Slashy Goodness Drabble Challenge.

-The Friend Ficathon is a multifandom, male/female friendship writing challenge that's taking sign-ups until August 22nd.

-Massive FLIST Fic Exchange ‘O Doom - How does it work? Go post a comment with a fic that you would REALLY love to have written (doesn't matter what fandom, what pairing, what anything). Then people can peruse through the comments and anonymously claim to write your story if it pings with them...and post between now and Christmas. Then you can peruse the list yourself and find a story to write for someone else. Good times to be had all around.

-It's time for another year of [livejournal.com profile] bubbleficathon, but first, [livejournal.com profile] em_meredith has a poll on fandoms to include and due dates. So be sure to check it out. It's bubble fic, people. It's the best thing ever. I love me some good bubble fic. Even though, sadly, I never got my story last year (so feel guilty and fill out the poll and then sign up when it starts).

-And because I'm a broken record, be sure to check out [livejournal.com profile] polyfandomrecs when you're in the mood for some good fanfiction in numerous fandoms. Also come and join the fun at [livejournal.com profile] moviefanfiction. Considering the community is still new, we've been collecting a nice archive of movie fanfiction. So come join, post, rec...we want to make this a great resource for those that love movie fanfiction.

Okay, only twenty minutes left of work. I should probably wrap some stuff up before I head out for the day.

Ciao my friends!

oh thank you for pimping that out. I'd dearly love to see more added to it.

And in the same breath, you point me to a new challenge and OMG I love that Exchange one.

You're welcome for the pimpage, darling. I love to spread the love around, especially if it means I'll have more fic to read. hee.

I have a lot of older movie fic--would it be okay if I just posted a link to the tag in the community?

You can do that if you want. I'll find a way to archive it. Hee.
