i'm alive, I think

tommygirlVery long weekends rock the world. Seriously, my friends, I'm now well-relaxed and happy and I really didn't want my mini-vacation to be over. I got to the casinos before they closed down due to the New Jersey State shut down and lost money at the penny arcade. That's right, I'm a gambler.
Fortunately, the TMA I work for is still open, despite the shut down. really wouldn't be a good time to suddenly have no paycheck coming in. So yay for mostly Federal funding.
And while paychecks are good, alas, my vacation is over and I'm back at work.
I'm way behind on all things fannish related and I feel terrible about it. Hopefully, I'll be able to spend some time focused on fandom fun and the world of livejournal. I'm so behind on so many stories at this point, fortunately none were being written for someone. That's one thing I try not to forget - if someone is counting on a story, I write it.
That said, I'm the worst moderator of the Supernatural Crossover Challenge. So if you're writing a story for it and haven't finished it yet, you've got until this Sunday (July 9th) to get it up in order to be included on the master list. You can post after that, but there are no guarantees that I'll remember to add the story to the masterlist as I'm a forgetful nooch.

I think entourage is my favorite show, beyond even veronica mars and supernatural. Yet, I don't find myself compelled to participate in fandom for the show. I love it just as it is. That's not to say that if someone (::glances at her friends list::) were to write an Entourage ficlet/story for my birthday next month, I wouldn't read it. But the show is just...oh, I love those boys. I love them all so much. They amuse me, even when I sit there and think, "Oh, you're such a stupid boy."
So really, I love Entourage a whole freaking lot.
And maybe there should be Jensen Ackles/Vincent Chase fic. Maybe someone should write *that* for my birthday next month. Hee.

Speaking of birthdays, I'm terrible at checking to see who's birthday is approaching. I love you all and I'm not ignoring you on your happy day. I'm just really lame and forgetful. However, when people ask/point out/prod/set up communities for birthday fics, I do try to do something for you guys. Because y'all seriously make this experience worthwhile. That said - I'm always late with stories. So by christmas, I might finish your birthday ficlet.
I blame my inability to write drabbles. I'm just too wordy of a bitch.

Now I'm off to read my friends list and count down the hours left to my work day. It's a three-day work week for me and yet I lack any will to be productive.
