Damn you, evil sinuses! ::shakes fist at sky::

I was out sick yesterday after spending Sunday in bed all day, sleeping the day away in hopes of alleviating sinus pain to no avail. I tried the same thing yesterday, but gave up around one in ther afternoon...so the roommate and I watched a few movies. I introduced her to the wonders that is Grind, the skateboarding movie with Adam Brody that never fails to amuse me, and then we watched Playing By Heart, one of my favorite movies of all time.

After that, I attempted to watch some of the new television shows on my DVR:

Psych rocks my socks. Seriously, if you have a sense of humor, you will love this show. And it has Dule in it! Friday nights, USA. (i'm looking at you, iamtheenemy)

The Stephen King thing on TNT - Oh my God. Don't watch it. DON'T. I watched the first two parts. The first one with William Hurt there was not one word of dialogue. NONE. And it wasn't done in a clever way either, it was just fucking stupid. And then my sister and I watched the second one because of Eion Bailey. While that episode had dialogue, it was really bad dialogue and an even dumber story. So I wouldn't bother with that. Unless you hate yourself.

Brotherhood on Showtime. Yeah, it's not my thing. I can see how it will probably appeal to some people, but alas, I'm not one of them.

This week I'm giving Eureka a chance on SciFi (tonight, I think). I'll let you know what I think.

And surely you all are thinking, "Just what you need, Tommy...more television."

As for Entourage - I'm marrying Vincent Chase. I am. He can be dumb and an arrogant jackass and such a boy, but he's loyal and principled and oh so adorable. I love him dearly.

I also love Ari, but that is a far different love, and who doesn't love Ari? I mean, is it even possible to not love Ari? I think not.

You are creepy and weird, but I still love you. You and Shawn are so pretty together. And really, if you managed to scare Nicki away for good, you are my hero. I hated Nicki. She was dumb and she made Shawn dumb (well, dumber).

I watch this show week after week and think, "Tom Baldwin, you are the dumbest agent in the world." This thinking started with the shapeshifter episode where he was just ridiculously stupid about things, such as screaming in the middle of a public area, "WE SHOULD HAVE A PASSWORD...HOW ABOUT 'KITTEN' BECAUSE YOU LOVE THEM?" And then this week, he's talking about how Alana helped Gary get away at his office? What the fuck is wrong with him? He's so lucky he's pretty.

It makes me think of that line from Spike on Buffy, "You are the people who constantly foil my plans?" (paraphrasing, as I don't remember exact wording). Because seriously, NTAC appears to be made up of really dumb people.

I saw POTC 2 with my mother on Saturday morning. I liked it a whole lot more the second time around. That may have to do with the lack of the crazy phlegm guy behind me, but it was highly entertaining. I mean, I liked it the first time I saw it, but it was just a tad bit long in certain places. That was my only problem with it...and some of the fights are still a bit ridiculous in length, but I think everything else serves a purpose for the next film.

Plus, Orlando Bloom is so freaking pretty. And Johnny Depp is Johnny Depp. And Jack Davenport with scruff is possibly my favorite thing ever. EVER.

Alrighty, off to do some work, maybe read some fic, and try to make the end of the day come quickly.
