I probably shouldn't have taken a four hour nap (is it still considered a "nap" when it goes for that long?), but it was just so lovely. While I was doing that the boy occupied himself with my playstation 2. Oh the lovely sounds of him cursing at video game villains whilst sleeping.
I hope all the Americans out there had a wonderful holiday. The holiday itself was lovely, but yesterday I had to attend a funeral and it was uncomfortable to say the least. I just don't have much in common with this set of cousins and whenever I'm around them, I feel inadequate. I know that I'm not, but it's always been that way with that group of family. My sister is the golden child, the genius, the one who belongs (she would take great offense to me saying that though, so Shhh...)
The boy just left "to avoid traffic tomorrow" heading back into NYC and I feel sorta bad about taking that four hour nap. Heh. But I guess that's one of those good things about dating someone you've known forever - because he's much more understanding of these things, knowing that's how I've always been.

I'm really trying to write, I swear. I haven't had a chance! That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it. Of course, my sister announced tonight at dinner that she's locking me in my room tomorrow until I finish something. She doesn't care what, as long as I write. She's got a point. I've been extremely bad lately. Even when I'm not busy, I've been choosing to watch DVDs and the like.

So I made an addendum to my Christmas wish list - it's still fandom stuff. I tried to avoid anything that cost money because I don't have it and therefore understand that a lot of people don't. I've started to peruse all the lists that I saved, hoping that I can grant some of the nonmonetary items. I loved the idea of this. It's great.
So much that Steph
iamtheenemy and I agreed to do something like that this year. Since she's moving into an apartment and I'm just broke (damn working in nonprofit!), we each gave the other three different options for stories and we'll each write the other one for Christmas. It's perfect! Because we're both ficwhores and I know her well enough to know what she likes. Mwahahahahaha.
Hedda: I sent you an email regarding doing that as well this year. I'm so broke. Also, I need to you email you about me coming to TN for when you and Liam are there...must remember to do that!

So to make amends for the fact that I’ve been terribly unproductive in the writing department, I decided to share three of my favorite songs of the moment.
Marc Broussard – Where You Are
Natasha Bedingfield – Wild Horses
Holly McNarland – Beautiful Blue

Not much else to report. Ate way too much, watched too many dvds (is such a thing possible), and attempted to avoid the "when are the two of you getting married" questions from family members that are insane.
Now I shall peruse LJ and see how else I can avoid writing - err...I mean, I'm going to write!
