Feb. 1st, 2005 12:01 pmSo I managed to finish my latest column in a new record of thirty minutes and therefore insured that I made my deadline. Woo-hoo. It's actually a pretty good column too, which proves to me once and for all, that when I'm not nitpicking over every word, I write much better. That's not saying editing isn't necessary, but my usual anal-retentiveness needs to stop.
Now that the stuff for deadline is done, I can focus on getting those ficlets to y'all and finishing up![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
iamtheenemy's story before she has a meltdown. It's because she knows the fandom now and is very excited, I'm sure.

In the meantime, some things that I want to pimp!
1) Yesterdayliterarylemming needed some cheering up, so I wrote her some Dom/Emilie. It can now be found here - The Anniversary. While I've written Dom before, I'd never written this pairing or Emilie.

crossficathon. It's going to be a lot of fun. So sign up already!
3) Much like Harry Potter, Lost, and LOTR have their daily newsletters of what's going on in their respective fandoms, there is now a daily update newsletter on the going-ons around LJ for The O.C. So go friendnewport_living!
4) If you love movies and are always on the lookout for new movies to watch, you should think about friending (and taking a turn reccing) over atmovie_recs. This month I'm driving the musicals category. Oh the Gene Kelly I shall bring!
5) Two fics to rec - first in BSG2003 there is a Lee/Kara fic, Worth It byfeatherjean. And the other is a Stargate Atlantis Sheppard/McKay fic by shalott called Proof By Contradiction, complete with lotsa banter.
6) My communityquillandink is always looking for new members. It's a community to pimp any ficathons/challenges for fanfiction or regular fiction that you know of. I also post weekly prompts that you can do. It has members, but none of them seem to post. I wonder if I scare people. Heh.

I have some beta work to finish now and then to finish the ficlets. Also, if someone can tell me where I could find last night's episode of 24 to download, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've never downloaded tv before, but my cable went out and Tivo recorded a blue screen. Me = not happy.
