fa, la, ,la...i suck at titles
May. 17th, 2006 07:13 pmI'm alive, my friends, in case any of you noticed I've been sorta missing (Probably not as it is may sweeps and who can keep track of livejournal friends when shows are ending for the season or forever...)
Last week was insanely busy at work and things going on in real life.
And I'm guessing that's partially responsible for what happened on Saturday evening. I took a nap and when I woke up...I couldn't talk, my throat was closed up and I felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest.
By Monday morning it was full-fledged bronchitis. Dammit. To sum up my doctor's reaction, "And you've been doing so good with that lately."
Yeah, he laughed when I blamed the demon house, but I seriously think it has something to do with it.
So I've been out of it the past few days. the first set of meds weren't working, so I'm on the UBER strong stuff and some lovely codeine-filled cough syrup to help me rest. So when you wonder why I'm all over the place, blame the drugs.
Anyway, we took the mother to see Posiedon on Mother's Day. It was enjoyable but then again, I was on a LOT of drugs to make it through the day. But Josh Lucas is hot and I'm nothing if not utterly shallow. It did, however, reaffirm my great fear of drowning and why I won't be going on a cruise anytime soon.
Tomorrow I'm going to attempt to go back to work. Yippee. I can't wait to see how insane my desk looks...as I was so busy last week and now with missing three days...ugh.
But I am doing a bit better. Today I was up for more than ten minutes at a time and caught up on the friends list. Now I just have to catch up on fic - which seems so impossible with the way y'all produce the WBRPS and Supernatural fic.
I also finished the sixth book in the Harry Dresden series by Jim Butcher and how much do I want to see a story where Dean Winchester and Harry Dresden work together on a case. It could be fabulous to see who out snarks the other. So much. So get to writing that my friends. Oh yes, please.

A little pimpage:
the Het Ficathon - Round 3 is taking prompts for all fandoms (Crossovers and original characters are more than welcome too). there are some great prompts already, but go put in some other prompts. You can submit a prompt without writing a story, but again, you know you want to, my friends.
