argh and blargh!
Mar. 30th, 2007 03:12 pmI was in a great mood for the majority of this day. I got enough sleep last night and the day was going fairly quickly. And I was having fun conversations with
ladybug218 and
larah33 via email.
Then lunch happened.
Overall, I love all my coworkers, but seriously, sometimes a few of the boys are just rude and don't seem to consider anyone else. Like today...over the past few weeks, I've gotten one of my coworkers addicted to Entourage. We both take late lunch and when I first brought season one in I asked him if it was okay if I watch it since our lunch room is set up for watching dvds or playing on the playstation. He said yes and soon became addicted. So today we are in the middle of the second to last episode of season two, and this coworker comes in talking LOUDLY on his cellphone. He hangs up, but starts to dial *another* number.
Me - We're trying to watch, would you mind going somewhere else if you're going to talk on the phone.
Co-Worker: What? Why should I?
Me - Because it's rude.
Co-Worker: It's not rude.
So then we go back and forth a few times and I'm just getting so annoyed because I just think it's so rude to talk on the phone like that. Finally, he leaves, but now he's pissed at me. And my other co-worker, who talks on her phone a lot, says that I'm in the wrong. Then again, she talks on her phone a lot during her lunch, but like she said. She asks if it's okay if someone is watching something. And usually she's at lunch on her own. So yeah, make as many calls as you want when you're by yourself. I don't care. But I would never do that to someone else. I wouldn't go into the lunchroom and chat on the phone if someone was watching something.
Am I alone in this line of thinking?
My other co-worker just starts laughing when we were finished and was like, "oh the drama."
So yes, now I'm annoyed. I really want this workday over with.
I apologize now if I spam as I feel like work is overrated in leiu of such frustrations.
