tommygirlYay! New Jersey remains a blue state! Say what you want about Corzine and the "corruptive side of politics in New Jersey" - but Corzine has introduced bills and voted to continue to support women's reproductive rights. Not only that, but unlike some of the right wing people, he also thinks that maybe if you teach people about birth control, they're less likely to *need* abortions.
So yay! I can remain in my blue state!
And double yay for Virginia and California turning against Arnold and Maine upholding gay marital rights! I'm disappointed by the Texas decision to ban gay marriage, but it's not really surprising.

I didn't watch Gilmore Girls last night because I was flipping between the local PBS station's coverage of results of the Jersey elections and Daily Show/Colbert Report, so I'll watch that tonight after work.
And really, I kept hoping that the whole bear rape thing from Libby's "novel" was a joke, even as I watched The Colbert Report. I guess I now understand why Republicans like himself go right to the "If we let gay people marry, what's next? People marrying animals?" argument on gay marriage. It's because, apparently, they have sex with animals.
I'll watch GG when I get home from work tonight. But nothing, not even election or an episode about killer BUGS keeps me from my Dean and Sam love...
Episode 1.8 - Bugs
I imagined a collective squee from fandom when Dean slapped Sam's ass and called him "honey." I'm not even a fan of the incest, but my mind went wandering to the bad places. Though Sam's reaction was priceless.
Dean watches Oprah and gets excited about showers! He's such a girl, and I love it!
Okay, I've grown to love Sam, not nearly as much as Dean, but that's impossible. However, if Sam doesn't shut the fuck up about how is life was so hard, no one understands him, oh woe betide. Ack! Dean hasn't exactly had an easy life either and talking about that stuff the way he does...it just annoys me. Because I think what Sam fails to realize is that Dean doesn't just see it as Sam escpaing a Dad who didn't love him, but Sam bailing on his family, bailing on DEAN, who probably always looked after him and could never entertain thoughts of a "normal" life because he had his brother to look after and to keep some sort of peace in his family.
I don't know. Sometimes I just want to smack Sam upside the head.
I do love that Dean called him on the whining this time though. Usually, Dean tends to shrug it off, but I guess he's as sick of it as the rest of us are.
Let's not talk about the bugs because gah. I had to keep throwing a blanket over my head. And just...no. I hate bugs. I hate them like there is no tomorrow. I consider them a pollution problem. It's why I could never be Buddhist, because you must love and respect all things for their place, and I could never do that with bugs...and it was all different types and it's just...my nightmare death. Ack!
And how good does next week look from the trailers? Poor Dean. ::huggles Dean and doesn't let go:: Is it next Tuesday yet? For reals.
And my mind is overrun with plotbunnies! All Dean-centered, of course! This is not good, my friends!
Anyone have a cap of the scene with the ass smacking? That would be a fun icon!

nowastedspace has been writing again - and not just Emmy/Jake, but bits of Firefly! How I've missed her writing!
And it just makes me think...because it's through fanfiction and shared squees that I've made some really wonderful friends. Who would have thought such things possible, but there it is!
