That could actually work as a ficathon. Assign each person who signs up a soap opera cliche and let them write the story.
Dean never comes for Sam at Stanford, but Jess still dies. So Sam has to track Dean down.
I like that one. It could be an AU version of your crossover o'doom. Or somehow worked *in* to the crossover of doom, where Sam shows up after Dean's left or something?
