another week in the working world...

Do you ever feel like life is moving so fast and you're trying your best to keep up, but end up flailing about instead? That's currently the mode I'm in. Last week was a blur and I really can't say where the time went. The only thing I remember is the evil colonoscopy and that's just impossible to forget - mostly because the prep work is god awful.
Luckily for you guys, I do remember last night's Heroes quite well because it was an hour of awesome.
Episode 1.19 - .07%
This episode should've been called "The Petrelli Family OWNS" because they do.
Nathan and Linderman talking...and Nathan really only being freaked out by the prospect of something happening to Peter, of losing Peter in the explosion. I find it wonderful that he doesn't balk at Linderman's plans until that point.
Peter trying to fight Sylar. That was good stuff. He totally threw Sylar for a loop with being able to heal himself. And then Mohinder was able to knock Sylar out and get Peter out of there, albeit dead. Now that Peter has been aroudn Sylar though, does he have all those powers too?
My sister kept screaming at the television to everyone: take the glass out of his head. I figured it would be Claire who would do it since she had been in the same situation before.
So does Angela have powers? And if so, did Peter pick up on her powers and it's just something so subtle he never realized it? I'm guessing from the way Linderman talked and his connections to his family that Angela and her husband were two of the special ones from the group (and does that group include Hiro's father?). I love that she comes across as cold, and she totally can be, but she honestly believes she is doing what she has to in order to protect her family, to give them what she thinks they want. Nathan is a lot like her in that respect - he does what he has to because he's trying to protect them...and some people think he's a jackass for it.
The whole thing with Nathan and Peter. When Nathan thinks that Peter is dead, hugging him to him and running his fingers through his hair. God, it killed me. And then him and Peter talking and Nathan pretty much saying what anyone who loves Nathan already knows - that he needs Peter in his life. That he counts on Peter a whole lot more than Peter is probably aware of. And that who knows what will become of Nathan without Peter there as his conscience?
Peter and Claire rock. I love the chemistry between them. And Peter is totally going to be the cool uncle who looks out for her and makes sure that Claire becomes a part of the crazy family.
Seriously, I just love the Petrellis so much. They own. Nathan & Peter are just below Sam and Dean Winchester in my favorite brothers happy place.
The other storylines:
-I loved Mr. Bennett working with Matt and the crazy atomic dude. And also how Mr. Bennett was able to get crazy atomic dude to sorta control his powers. It makes me wonder if there is hope for him yet. I also love that we find out that Mr. Bennett really doesn't know all that much about his organization after all.
-Sylar is just creepy and yet, I love him. His stuff with Isaac was gross, but I loved that Sylar was so annoyed by Isaac's calmness in the situation. It ruins it for him, I think, if people don't scream. And I have to wonder is the answer to the problem in the last comic book and/or the sketch book he gave to that kid? I'd say probably the comic, but I never know with this show. I can't say I'm sad to see Isaac go and he did get to go out like a hero.
-Niki/Jessica stuff is so damn boring. I honestly don't give a crap. I think Micah is adorable though and I can't help but wonder what Mr. Linderman needs him for.
The only downside to the episode, if it can be called that...we want Claude. Claude hanging out with Peter and annoying Nathan.
Next week looks interesting, but for now, I will keep rewatching all the Peter & Nathan scenes.

I'm hoping to do remix recs over at
polyfandomrecs in the next couple of days. The story written for me was great. I loved it. And the person I wrote for seems to have liked the remix that I did. Now there are just tons of great stories for reading.

Het Summer Prompt-A-Thon is taking prompts until April 29th. It's multifandom and even if you're not going to participate, you can offer up prompts. I went back and added some for the Twilight book series as well as a few other things. Come join me in the fun.
