First, happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] carrielh!!! I hope you have a great day!

Last night I did something that I rarely do anymore – I read a very long, unfinished WIP, all 34 chapters in one evening. I was minding my own business, perusing the recent fics posted over at fanfiction.net in the Charmed section and there was this story called He Did It For Me by Teal Lover. And I got sucked in right away, as if this author knew every single of one my kinks in fiction, the stuff that makes me swoon and lose all sanity that would tell me, “Don’t read a story all in one sitting, dude. You have things to do, your own writing to complete.”

There is an interesting plot, but really, it’s about the characters and how they deal with things and their reactions to the reveals. There is Good Adult Wyatt, Wyatt/Chris as best friends, and angst out the wazoo. I don’t want to give anything away, but really, oh the angst! It hits you in the first chapter and just keeps building and building until you’re hoping for an emotional release that hasn’t come quite yet.

There are a few grammar/spelling issues that arise throughout the chapters, but nothing too annoying that I couldn’t overlook it – and if I can get past it, probably most people can because I have issues. I found myself willing to ignore them because the story was much more powerful than that.

So seriously, I know some of you out there ([livejournal.com profile] dragonsinger, [livejournal.com profile] ladybug218, [livejournal.com profile] supernaturalhel) share my love of the boys’ lives as adults and this is just...oh my god.

Go read - He Did It For Me

Needless to say that I didn’t get any writing of my own done last night or get updates done to my website that needed to be handled.

I did, however, get hit with large amounts of angsty!Chris muse who thinks that I should be bringing the angst like Teal Lover did. Good god. Beware [livejournal.com profile] ladybug218 that I don’t go all misery & woe on our A/U.

I did not forget that I need to get the Princess Bride ficlet done, as it was a reward fic for April Fool’s Challenge and since it’s over...but I’ve never written in that fandom before and I’m quite panicked that I will ruin one of my favorite movies.

Interview questions from [livejournal.com profile] louisemcgregor:

1. What is your favorite fandom to write?

It truly depends on my mood and I tend to go through cycles of interest. Right now I’ve been on a Charmed kick (angsty!Chris muse will be the death of me), but tomorrow I could wake up and want to focus on Roswell. Basically, I just go where the idea takes me. Overall, I would say, that for some reason, I feel most comfortable in pop fandom because that’s where I spent most of my time in the beginning.

2. Favorite pairing of all tv shows.

Okay, so some of my pairings aren’t actually shown on the television show, but it would be so much better if it were.

Alias – Syd/Sark, Syd/Weiss
Charmed – Piper/Leo
Veronica Mars – Logan/Veronica
Gilmore Girls – Luke/Lorelai
Roswell – Michael/Maria
Buffy – Buffy/Angel
The O.C. – Seth/Ryan
Battlestar Galatica – Lee/Kara

3. How Charmed should end?

With a spin-off for adult Chris and adult Wyatt. Me wants Drew Fuller back on my television on a weekly basis – and there is still much more demon ass-kicking to be done. Really, I think it could be very much like the finale of Angel (minus crushing character death) where it’s realized that the fighting never really ends.

4. Favorite song of all time.

Eep…it’s weird because I was pondering this the other day. Like if I even had just one favorite song. I’d say it’s a tie between “Dreamlover” by Bobby Darrin and “What A Wonderful World” by Louie Armstrong.

5. Paige or Prue?

Prue. Maybe it’s a big sister thing, but I always related to her.

Interview questions from [livejournal.com profile] dragonsinger

1) Who is the most difficult muse you've ever had to deal with?

I’d say Chris!muse because he just won’t leave me alone. I have dreams, I have random thoughts in the middle of my workday – I’m constantly overrun with possible angst to write for him. Why won’t he leave me alone?

2) How did you deal with him/her?

I tend to write whatever is overwhelming me at the moment, whether or not it ends up as a coherent story that is shared with others is a different story. But I find it’s best usually just to get it out of my head because attempting to focus on other things is an act of futility.

3) By some random miracle, you've been put in charge of the Wyatt and Chris spin off. What do you call it and what's the premise?

I’m terrible with titles, but let’s see…I don’t see Chris remembering his past, but I think the opening could be sort of like the opening of Charmed, where maybe Chris and Wyatt aren’t as close at that moment (for whatever reason), but come together when they’re left in charge of the legacy and find out about Chris-from-the-future in a letter or something…the only difference would be that they’ve grown up with their powers. So it’s much more about them just accepting their responsibilities now then coming into their own powers.

4) Describe your perfect book.

Really, really good characters (my weakness) with lots of banter and lots of personal journeys. A good plot that can be interwoven into that, but without taking over the story and leaving it to the characters.

5) Do these pajamas make me look fat?

Bah! Never!

New Veronica Mars this evening! I’m both looking forward to and fearing this episode. How are there only two left to this season? It’s seriously my favorite show this year. It’s the one that I think about and the one that constantly makes all coherent thought go away...and maybe it’s because the creator seems to notice what the fans want and gives it to them (even if it’s in evil small doses filled to the brim with angst and obstacles).

Battlestar Galatica would be a close second for favorite show for those same reasons and because there is no getting around Apollo’s hotness in my opinion.

Yes, it’s true. I’m shallow and what usually gets me to watch something in the beginning is the promise of a cute boy, but then I need more, preferably with snark.

Alrighty, most of the office is out today. I found myself singing “All By Myself” until one of my co-workers said I should audition for American Idol. He swears he wasn’t being sarcastic, but I’m not so sure.

Have a good day everyone!
