all about me, but not quite

Because never a day goes by where I don't hear someone say to me, "Tommygirl, I just don't know enough about you." Well, from those that aren't forced to read my personal journal anyway. Those unfortunate folks tend to cry out, "Why Lord? Why am I bearing witness this?"
So here's a get-to-know me meme without really providing you with much at all.
1. If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that... I’m a liberal blue state woman and proud of it.
2. My "happy place" is... when I’m writing truly superficial for my eyes only because I want to, or the Coach Outlet. Either one is wonderful.
3. My favorite person in the world is... my sister
floundering because... She’s my best friend and a wonderful sissy, even when she drives me freaking nuts. I know that she’s always got my back and that she’ll always be there for me.
4. I love fandom because... I’ve made some wonderful friends and found an outlet for all that obsession.
5. I can't live without my... computer. I write on it, I interact with friends on it, I avoid working with it.
6. I am most afraid of... bugs because... it’s a horrible phobia of mine that stems out of being at girl scout camp the weekend it was literally *raining* gypsy moth catapillars and my parents wouldn’t let me come home. I believe I mentioned that I was “under attack by bugs” and my father’s response was, “Make the best of it.” Still haven’t recovered. I see a fly and I run for cover, screaming all the way.
7. I feel most alive when... I’m dancing.
8. My most recent dream was... really bizarre one that involved my two best friends and me deciding that I hated them for absolutely no other reason than I was off my crazy pills.
9. My "comfort food"/"comfort song"/whatever is... comfort food: chocolate ice cream; comfort song: "fool out of me" by Idina Menzel, comfort read: The Outsiders
10. If I could take back one thing, it would be... I don’t like to play this game because I’m one of those sickeningly optimistic people who likes to believe that everything, mistakes and all, happen for reasons.
11. If I could change one thing about the world, it would be... the apathy of most people in the United States. Our country seems to treat political involvement, intelligence, and being aware of the world around you as wastes of time.
12. My political beliefs are... liberal.
13. My views on love are... hard to explain within the context of a meme
14. Theologically speaking, I am a... a Catholic heathen who is now more spiritual than religious. I believe in... God and the struggle for all of us to be the best people we can because... there is too much wonder in the world at times that I refuse to believe it’s a random act – that said, I have a real problem with religion’s dogmatic practices and any rules that go against the very nature of God – such as judging others or hating on God’s behalf. I have/haven't believed in God... for as long as I can remember. But the first time I started to doubt religion was when I was ten because... well, first, my father died and I had a lot of issues with why that happened, what I had done wrong. Second, I used to love church and my religion and I wanted to be an altar boy and then a priest – but that was a big no-no in the Catholic church and no one has ever been able to explain to me why I’m not as worthy as any random boy.
15. My sleeping position of choice is... on my side, curled up with a pillow in my arms.
16. The quality that I adore/detest most in a person is... an open mind because... none of us truly know what each of us has been through and to keep your mind closed-off to things, it’s a horrible thought.
17. Honey Nut Cheerios are...disgusting – it’s all about the Apple Cinnamin Cheerios.
18. The key to my heart is... a good sense of humor.
19. A defining quote for me is... “It was one of those days when it's a minute away from snowing and there's this electricity in the air, you can almost hear it. And this bag was, like, dancing with me. Like a little kid begging me to play with it. For fifteen minutes. And that's the day I knew there was this entire life behind things, and...This incredibly benevolent force that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid, ever.” – American Beauty
20. The meaning of life... can be found in a Hallmark card. I’m sure of it. Maybe...
