What's with all the interesting ficathons/challenges/etc happening now, at the holidays, when I'm already committed to writing so much?

But I went ahead and signed up for super_santa and that means all of you on my list who love supernatural must go sign up now. Really. If I'm doing it, I think everyone else should!
