I mean, I love dark and angsty as much as the next person, but I have a feeling that might cause me to break down sobbing. And I don't do tears.

So yes, I'm in a sappy, schmoopy mood. So rec me your favorite schmoopy stories. Het or slash. Basically in any fandom I blather on about - Alias, Lost, BSG, Harry Potter, Sports Night, Stargate Atlantis, The O.C...to name a few.

I want a schmoopy-filled fic-reading evening! I mean, really, it's that or I watch Seventh Heaven, and that sounds painful.

bring on the schmoop!

Oh and thanks for help finding the wonderful Brokeback Mountain icons. Gah. They're so pretty and they make my heart swell. Seriously can't wait to finally see this movie a couple hundred times.

You're welcome. I had my iPod on random earlier and it played Rainbow Connection. I think I'm going to have to read this one again before bed.

Next Year- A Supernatural Drabble

“Here you go, John.” Mary said, handing her husband a small, brightly wrapped package. “Merry Christmas.”

“Awww, honey.” John said, kissing her forehead gently. “I thought we were waiting until Christmas morning. I haven’t finished wrapping your gifts yet.”

“Technically, it is Christmas morning. 12:01. Go ahead and open it. This gift won’t wait until morning.”

“You really are impatient, aren’t you?” He chuckled.

“You have no idea.” Mary laughed. “Now open it, before I rip it open for you!”

John nodded and tore the bright red paper to reveal a box. “I wonder what this could be.”

“John!”

“I’m opening, I’m opening.” He lifted the lid to reveal a small baby bid, emblazoned with childish writing declaring, “I love my Dad.”

He turned to his wife. “I don’t get it.”

“Think about it, genius.”

“You mean?”

Mary nodded. “Next Christmas there’s going to be another little Winchester around the tree here with us.”

“Wow.” John said, lightly touching his wife’s flat stomach. Within a year’s time, he would be a daddy.

Unspeakable Evil (Sort of)- A Supernatural Drabble

“For the love of all that is good and holy, Sammy, put that down!”

“What?” Sam said with a smirk. “Don’t tell me that the big bad ghost hunter is scared?”

“I’m not scared. I’m just not an idiot, unlike my present company.” Dean snapped. “Just put it down, back away from it, and we can avert this apocalypse.”

Sam shook his head. “You are a special kind of nutty. This?” He said, motioning to the object in his hand “Is harmless. Trust me.”

“You haven’t seen the evil that is capable. I’ve experienced it.”

“Dean…it’s fruitcake.”

He shrugged. “Aunt Edna’s recipe, Christmas 1999. Never before and never again will that shitty cake ever pass my lips.”

Christmas on the Slopes- A Supernatural Drabble

“Dad, what in the hell are we doing?” Dean muttered as they trudged through the snow. “I’m pretty sure we’re not going to find a case at this stupid swanky ski resort. We don’t even know how to ski.”

John turned around and looked at his son. “Chill, Dean. Just chill. Please. You know just as well as I do that cases can turn up anytime or anywhere.”

“Dad, I googled this. There’s nothing suspicious coming up anywhere near here. So unless you’ve decided to give me a couple of buxom ski bunnies for Christmas, you’ve got a lot of explaining to do.”

“Dean, please. Don’t go there.” John muttered, scanning the horizon. “There he is.” He said softly.

“What? Who?” Dean followed his father’s line of vision. “Sammy? We traveled across the nation to watch my dork of a brother fall flat on his face and cause an avalanche. This sucks.”

“Dean!” John exclaimed. “It’s Christmas.”

“Yeah. So?”

“The three of us have spent every Christmas together for the past seventeen years. I’m not going to let your little brother’s insane rebellion keep us from being together on Christmas.”

“So, are we going to go talk to him? Wish him a Merry Christmas? Throw his arrogant ass down the bunny slope?”

John shook his head. “No. We’re just going to let Sam be.”

“What’s the point of coming all the way out here and freezing off our asses if Sam doesn’t even know we’re here?”

“We’re not here for Sam’s sake, Dean. We’re here for mine. I need to see my son.”

Glad you're enjoying the Supernatural Christmas Stories! I have certainly enjoyed writing them for you.

A Taxi Cab, a Fruit Baskets, and Candy Canes- A Supernatural Drabble

Sam stood outside the house, looking up at the lighted windows.

They were in there, right now, his father and brother. Celebrating Christmas, probably by doing research for some case they were going out on. Dean would be eating Candy Canes, because he always inhaled them this time of year, and Dad would have his head buried in some ancient dusty tome, reading it while scribbling down notes in his journal.

That was as festive as the Winchester family got. Christmas had never been a big deal for his family, and well, if it had, that was back before Sam could remember, back when Mom was alive.

“I might not be long. Could you wait here?” Sam asked the cab driver.

The cabbie nodded back. “It’s your dime, bub.”

Sam trudged through the snow to the front door. He raised his hand to knock on the door, but couldn’t bring himself to actually knock. In a moment of panic, he dropped the fruit basket and the box of candy canes on the doorjamb. Sam hurried back to the cab.

Incredibly hard tests or all kinds of ghosts and ghouls supernatural did not faze him. The only thing he’d backed down from was a visit to his family. Three years ago, his father had told him that if he left for school, he wouldn’t be welcome back home. They’d cut him off completely. Dean seemed to go along with their father’s mandate, as Sam hadn’t had any communication with his brother in years.

“Dad, I think I heard something.” Dean got up from his seat, a mint chocolate flavored candy cane dangling from his mouth. “Out front. Like a car or something. I’m gonna go check it out.”

“Knock yourself out.” John muttered, his head buried in an old book.

Dean opened the door and found a fruit basket and a box of candy canes at his feet. He picked them up and stepped out into the cold winter air, looking for their secret Santa.

The taillights of a taxi cab were the only things to shine back at him.
