Happy Supernatural Day! Yay for the boys of Winchester - Dean, Sammy, and Papa working together. It just fills my heart with glee.

Seriously, Supernatural is my new favorite thing about Thursdays. Yes, there is still Smallville and the Welling prettiness, but Supernatural long ago surpassed my love of every other show.

And that's taking into account the rockingness of this week's Veronica Mars. But poor Veronica - while it has a Logan, it does not have a Dean & Sam.

So last night's American Idol...



Yay America! You got it right. Kellie Pickler was definitely the right one to go home and it's just...I didn't think it would happen. I figured she'd stay in it a bit longer.

And so Katharine and Chris are the top two...not surprising.

But see...I want Elliot to win this thing. I love Chris and when Katharine's personality doesn't annoy me, she's a really good singer, but I can see both of them getting record deals whether they win or not. While I see it being tougher for Elliot without winning. So I want my monkey to win. He's so cute and I love him terribly and he must stay in.

Especially if Katharine keeps annoying me with her obnoxiousness each week. (Though I so did love that all three of the judges brought her down a peg on Tuesday night. Is it wrong of me to enjoy watching her get berated?)

So yeah, I agree that both Chris and Katharine are great singers, but dude, Elliot I just love all around and he's totally my favorite now...so can't the final two be Chris and Elliot with Elliot winning?



Also, since my sister and I finished Christmas Invasion episode of Dr. Who on Tuesday night, last night we watched the first episode of the new season.

Don't have much to say on it currently, but dude, as much as I came to love Nine, I think that will be far surpassed by my love of Ten. And not just because it's David Tennant and he's hot. But he's just...I can't explain it. I mean, I love Nine immensely...so damn adorable and wonderful. But Ten in just Christmas Invastion and 2.1 has completely won me over.

I didn't have a chance to watch Alias yet, but I'm greatly looking forward to it. It seems that JJ and company are trying very hard to make up for some downward spiral times and giving the fans a kick-ass ending. Here's to hoping.

1) Read anything good lately? yeppers. I read Peeps by Scott Westerfeld, a young adult book about vampires done a bit differently. And, of course, Charmed Thirds by Megan McCafferty came out two weeks ago so I read that book in three days! I love my Jessica Darling books.

2) Dean comes to you for help on an investigation, what would be your expertise? The Jersey Devil. South Jersey has been my home all my life and I know that story very well. Though my favorite sighting story of the Jersey Devil was someone who saw him driving down Rt. 206 in a Ford Bronco. Hee.

3) You've been turned into a Charmed One. What's your power? Can I have Piper’s powers? She rocks.

4) If you had to choose a favorite book, what would it be? That’s actually easy. My favorite book of all time is The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. I read it for the first time when I was eleven and I’ve read it at least once a year since. I just love it so much.

5) Does this jacket make me look fat? You? Fat? Never darling!

You want Captain Caveman to win? Ptttttthhhhhhhh! For the first time in Idol history, the top five are actually good singers. Kellie Pickler was a good singer up until two weeks ago.

Paris will go home next week, followed by Elliot. Chris, Katherine, and Taylor will be the top three, and it really is anyone's game. Though, Chris will win.

Ten has been great so far, but as yet I can't imagine him supplanting Nine as my favorite (of all two Doctors I've seen!) Then again, this is only based on what I've seen of Ten so far, and it took me longer than three episodes to become as infatuated with Nine as I am now, so who knows how I'll feel by the end of S2?

I can imagine ending up loving them equally, even though it seems de rigeuer in the fandom to have a favorite above all.

That was my reaction exactly. I couldn't explain why Ten won me over so quickly, he just did.

I really adored Katharine when she made it to the Top 24 and I still think she's cute and super talented, but there's definitely a diva side to her that I didn't really catch on to until she made it to the top 12. Her face when they criticized her was kind of telling, I thought, with the whole, "You're criticizing me?!" They'd never been too harsh with her before and you could tell she was pissed that they didn't like her.

I do think that Simon was overly harsh with her, but come ON. He's said much worse in the past five seasons. That set-up apology at the beginning of the results show really irked me. They got lots of calls to Fox and all the judges are signing her praises again? I don't know. Simon HAS on occasion said that he's watched back the performance after the show and changed his mind, but the way they set that whole thing up was kind of bothersome, I thought.

See I just don't get the Elliot love. His voice just does nothing for me. And his style of singing isn't something I would listen to unless fourced to. I really wish Melissa was still in this thing.
