Argh. So I had written three hand-written pages of one of the Five Things pieces and now it has disappeared. It figures that I actually liked what I had written and of course, have no memory of what the said brilliance was.
And yes, I do know that weeks from now I'll find it and realize it wasn't brilliant at all, but for the time being, humor me, people.
Is it not bad enough my mother emptied one of my bags and found some Seth/Ryan handwritten pages? That's a conversation I don't want to have with my mother. See mom, sometimes I like to take television characters and write porn about them.

And I'm now caught up on Heroes and I love it. I do not love the cliffhangers at the end of each episode, but the rest of the show is great stuff.
I love Hiro so much. As though I didn't already think he was the cutest thing ever, him squeeing about there being waffles and then talking to Nathan about his secret. That was so freaking CUTE. I need a shoebox to put him in.
I also love Claire a whole lot. She's a tough, no-nonsense girl, even without her powers. She's dealing with these manifesting powers, but she's also dealing with her teenage years...and that can't be fun. It's going to be interesting to see how things play out with her father, considering what he's been doing to the others like her.
Also, the Claire is in danger...from that serial killer (and is the serial killer patient zero, who seems to have ALL the powers?) or from something else? So she's not completely invincible then - she has something that can destroy her and they all must stop it.
Honestly, the only character I don't really like is Nathan because he's a prick. But dude, that was awesome when he flew. I loved it. Now if only he'd stop being such an ass.
Overall, this show keeps getting better and better. I really enjoyed the pilot episodes, but dude, it just built from there and went to a whole new level of great stuff. Definitely enjoying it.
My sister and I haven't watched last night's Veronica Mars yet, but I'll watch that and GG tonight. Still way behind on both Prison Break and Lost and probably won't get caught up until Thanksgiving when I have a nice long weekend away from everything.
And now I have a confession to make. I love House of Carters! Oh my god! Who knew that Nick Carter was the sane, sensible one of his family? Good LORD, people. Aaron Carter is all kinds of crazy and Nick is there trying to be the voice of *reason* - just WOW.
Of course, then I get this plot bunny with Supernatural that someone needs to write (because everything comes back to my Winchester boys), where Dean and Sam are watching House of Carter in some hotel room and Sam realizes his family was not so insane after all. hee.

Alrighty, still not finished all the articles and column stuff for work that I need to so back to the grind.
Ciao darlings!

Date: 2006-10-25 06:46 pm (UTC)And of course everything comes back to the Winchesters. Please talk me out of this plotbunny where Matt pulls Dean and Sam over for speeding. (Try to talk your way out of that one, Dean, with a mind-reading cop...)

Date: 2006-10-26 01:48 am (UTC)I'm trying very hard not to read your Heroes squee, as I'm only like 1 and a half eps in. But so far I'm digging it too.
And like with dragonsinger below - you should totally write Sam & Dean watch the Carters! I vote yes! I havent seen the Carter show, but it tickles me no end that Nick is apparently the sane one ... *raises eyebrows in disbelief*
