tv woes....

I don't think I've mentioned lately how much I hate my DirecTV dvr. It's the fucking devil. I miss my TIVO. stupid Terry's house broke it and since she owes me about a million dollars, I doubt I'll ever get reimbursed for that.
But it cut off like the last FIVE minutes of Heroes. I saw up to Claire and Mr. Bennett in the car and she had just asked if she would see him again, and...
BLANK SCREEN.
Fucking DVR.
I'm downloading it, of course, but it's such a pain.
Aside from that...let's focus on all that I did get to see.
Episode 1.17 - Company Man
This episode was great overall, but it simply raised even more questions. Like how does Hiro's dad fit into this? And does he know that his son has powers or is that a cosmic coincidence?
I'm glad to find out that Matt hadn't agreed to a home invasion from the get-go and that he was trying to keep Ted from doing something insane. That fits much more with his character than freaking kidnapping an entire family at gunpoint.
I love that we find out Mr. Bennett's motivation wasn't to be bad, per se, but to try to protect Claire and keep her with her family. He's a lot like Nathan in that he will be manipulative and do pretty much anything to protect the people he loves. Though I am curious as to when he stopped "keeping a distance" from Claire and what changed him...was it having to kill Claude?
I want to know who the Haitian is working with aside from Mr. Bennett.
And what the hell are they going to do with Claire? It's so freaking bizarre.
This just makes me wonder: Hiro's father is involved, Claire's father is involved...was Peter & Nathan's father involved too? Because I'm guessing Linderman has a role to play in this as well.
Last five minutes when I get home tonight (but really, I'm okay with being spoiled for it at this point).
On third viewing, The Black Donnellys continues to be awesome and I completely love Tommy and the role he plays as protector of his brothers, even when he wants to kill them. I'm sure I'll love the other brothers too, but they aren't nearly as developed in the pilot as Tommy is...so he makes the show for me at this point.
**
Not much else to report at the moment. I'm trying to get back on fandom track, but I'm way behind on most everything. Bear with me a bit longer.
Ciao darlings.

If he does know, he doesn't seem to be playing the game any more, since he's ostensibly chosen to let his superpowered son wander about freely.
