I was tagged by my evil weeble ([livejournal.com profile] iamentheos), and I'm waiting for my sister so we can start watching American Idol

To play, start by listing 10 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself. When this is done, choose 10 people to be tagged and write their names at the bottom of your list. No tag backs! Those who get tagged then write their own 10-item list in their own journals. Be sure to include this set of rules.

1. I love comedians and comedy. Some of my favorites are Kathleen Madigan, Gary Gulman (he's got a McGinley joke that will knock us on our asses), Christopher Titus, George Carlin...and many more. I love someone who can make me laugh.

2. I hate exercise. I absolutely hate every single second of it, but I think of it like one of those things like work. It's something I just have to do. But I am suspicious of people who *love* it.

3. The boy is included in this "is suspicious of" grouping because while he doesn't love regular exercise per se, he is uber active in snowboarding, sailing, etc...He really is lucky that I already loved him when I found these things out.

4. I will never forgive President Bush and VP Cheney for using the events on 9/11 - a time when I lost someone very close to me - in order to do whatever the fuck they want.

5. I hate even more that whenever I walk by Ground Zero there is always some asshole tourists who take pictures OF THEMSELVES IN FRONT OF IT like it's a tourist attraction and not a place where people gave their lives.

6. I'm mostly whatever, but as you can see there are certain things that turn me into an angerball. Usually, these things involve stupid, ignorant people.

7. I still listen to New Edition and I'm not ashamed. Well, not ashamed a lot.

8. I have a niece who is 26 who I refuse to let call me "Aunt M..." because it's weird. This annoys my brother, but he doesn't know the pain of having a neice that's only like four years younger than you (or having a brother old enough to be mistaken for your father more than once).

9. I believe in God. I was born/raised Catholic, went to Catholic school, and became sufficiently warped by these things. I wanted to be a priest and no one could make me understand why I couldn't be one...so over the years I've developed my own anti-religion spirituality. I believe in God, just not the dogmatic practics of religion.

10. I spent the entire summer before my senior year of high school living with a family in Salamanca, Spain. It was the best experience of my life.

I'm not tagging anyone. But if you want to do it, I'll read. I'm a curious girl.

i'm watching a movie i'm not particularly interested in with one of my roommates, so i'll do it :)

1. I get a lot of joy out balancing my checkbook. No one gets this about me except my mom, who is the same way, but really - the clean orderliness of a balanced checkbook is unparalleled.

2. I have a totally inappropriate crush on Brian Williams. Read his blog, if you don't already - he is so funny: http://dailynightly.msnbc.com/

3. I just recently noticed this about myself - I have to step on and off of trains, escalators, and stair cases with my right foot first or I feel off kilter and unbalanced.

4. I feel sick when I don't eat some kind of meat at lunch.

5. My hair falls out if I don't wash it every day.

6. Peanut M&Ms taste a million times better frozen.

7. I want to get a mini-lemon tree for my house.

8. One of my favorite things about the east coast is that you can get ginger ale anywhere.

9. I started drinking my coffee black to save time and confusion when ordering, and now I don't like it any other way.

10. I am inexplicably attracted to boys who fold up the collars of their wool sport coats against the wind. Think Alec in St. Elmo's Fire. (Naturally I LOATHE boys who pop the collars of their polos. Not cool, Hoya.)

I've never read Brian Williams' blog, but I'll have to check it out. Though my favorite newscaster is still Bob Woodruff.

And you can't get Ginger Ale everywhere? That's like WRONG.

George Carlin is my all time favorite comedian, seconded by Titus. WOWS. Also, old Carlos Mencia rocks my socks, and RIP, Mitch Hedberg, cause he was awesome too.

I still play my Mitch Hedberg cds in my car...and I'm sure I look like a crazy person to other people as I laugh hysterically while driving.

2. I have a bit of a love/hate relationshsip with exercise. Some things I really do hate (and thus don't do), like stomach crunches. I'd love a flat stomach, but I'm just not willing to endure stomach crunches to get it!

I often don't want to go running/walking (am still trying to get back in shape enough to run a full 5km :o( !), but as soon as I actually get on my bike to go to the forest, it's not so bad - and when I get to the forest, I love it.

8. I love being Moster/faster (mother's sister/father's sister) to my nieces and nephews, but then I was…18 already when my nephew was born.

crunches are just EVIL. My trainer makes me do about 75 regular ones and then ones for obliques. He's just MEAN.

I love all my neices and nephews, I do. But it just feels weird for both me and my oldest neice for her to call me Aunt. We just use first names. It doesn't make her any less family, but try explaining that to my brother.

I hate exercise. I absolutely hate every single second of it,

I hate it, too. "They" always say to do an activity that you love and it won't seem like work, but there are no activities that I love! I hate physical activity of most kinds--even walking just for the sake of walking. If I was actually walking someplace or with some other purpose, that would be fine, but just walking around for exercise is something I really hate.

I can't imagine ever liking any type of exercise. It's really difficult to keep it as an important part of my life.

I will never forgive President Bush and VP Cheney for using the events on 9/11 - a time when I lost someone very close to me - in order to do whatever the fuck they want.

Me either. And everyone else involved, too.

I hear on the exercise thing and finding something you love. I mean, I do love dancing, but there's no real room for me to do it in the house I currently share...and I'm not going to take dance classes as I don't have time or money...so that leaves boring exercise that I hate.
