I love my boys more than is natural...

Happy Friday, my friends! The weekend is almost here and today a co-worker is taking me and May out to lunch for a belated Administrative Assistant's Day celebration. Woo-hoo.
Have not gotten my copies of the Supernatural or latest Buffy comics in the mail yet. Hopefully they come tomorrow. Because part two of Buffy left off at a very interesting place and it's Supernatural!

Speaking of Supernatural, let's get to it...
Episode 2.20 - What Is and What Should Never Be
Oh Dean. Don't you know not to go into a situation without back-up?
I love how he's freaked out and then slowly embraces a normal life, even if it isn't exactly what he would've wanted (with his dad still dead and he & Sam not being close). Jensen just nailed this episode, in the scene where he sees his mother and even jessica.
He really would sacrifice everything to give Sam the life that he wanted. And I have real trouble believing that Dean would be any other way with his family. (Though I love that he admits it "sounds like me" to sleeping with Sam's prom date.)
But seriously, I have so much love for this episode. SO MUCH LOVE.
-I love that everyone thinks he's drunk and keeps asking him about that.
-I love that he's excited and happy about mowing the lawn. (he can come to my house and do it shirtless whenever he wants!)
-I love Dean's face when Sam talks about them not being close or talking to each other outside of holidays. I still have trouble buying that though.
-I love Dean's perfect girl.
-I love the reminder of the pilot with Sam and Dean fighting, but Sam being unable to fight back. And I really love that despite the fact that they weren't close, Sam still had his brother's back.
-I love that Sam was a pussy and that Dean was considering staying in the dreamworld, but he's always been into the hunting thing to save people. It's a huge part of who he is. And, of course, the other part is that real Sam would be alone without anyone to protect him - and Dean would never let that happen.
-I love how scared real Sam was that he had lost Dean and how they are able to kill it together.
-I love the "Bitch" comment with Dean replying that Sam should reply, "Jerk." Hee. It's their way of saying, "I love you."
-I love that Sam wouldn't trade his relationship with Dean for the normal life he always wanted. I love how he constantly tries to re-enforce that with Dean - that Dean matters to him, that he needs Dean.
It was just such a great episode. I loved it. And my god, I love Dean Winchester something awful.
Of course now, I want an AU fic where Sam & Dean had that normal life, but Dean stumbles upon the Supernatural stuff by accident and can't turn his back on it. That he becomes a hunter despite having grown up with both his parents and his brother. Who wants to write that one?
The two part season finale looks like it will kill me dead. Why must Kripke always kill me dead and leave me to linger for an entire summer?

More to follow. I apologize ahead of time if I end up spamming the friends list. I'm pretty damn bored at work at the moment.
