You guys, I am the most sucktastic of the sucktastic types lately when it comes to birthdays.
Happy Belated Birthday to:
wanderlustlover,
carrielh,
halcyon_shift,
iykwim,
sinnerforhire,
txtequilanights,
keepaofthecheez!
I hope you guys had fabulous days! I hope you were pampered and spoiled and many other things! You each are fabulous and I'm grateful that lj has brought each of you into my life, even if I'm terrible with birthdays!

So last night I was talking to one of my friends from a writing workshop about the book, The Book Thief, and how I really liked the choice of narrator and the way the book was written where the reader knew all these things that were *going* to happen, but it slowly made more sense within the context of the protagonist experiencing these moments we already knew about.
Then we were talking about fanfiction and I was thinking that sort of style and the narrator choice would totally work for a Supernatural story. A look at Dean Winchester's life through the eyes of death, where the reader is given all this information up front, but it's not really until Dean experiences it that the full impact hits.
I'm just not sure I'm talented enough to pull something like that off. That's not me looking for praise, it just is what it is. I know my own weaknesses and strengths...but it would be an interesting challenge.
Anyway, it got me to wondering...are there any styles/fiction types that you want to try, but aren't sure you're up to?
