Those in the Chicago Area

So I'm on Planned Parenthood's list because I do a lot of volunteer work for them at times in my area and basically, anti-choice protestors are delaying the opening of a clinic that could help a lot of women in the Chicago area
Last week, I asked you to come to the aid of our newest health center, under attack in Aurora, Illinois. We hoped that perhaps a few thousand people like you would step up, tie a ribbon of support, and make a contribution to demonstrate your solidarity with Planned Parenthood and the women we serve.
24,925. That's how many people have shown their support for our health center — 24,925 and growing! Thank you. The overwhelmed folks who run the health center in Aurora send their gratitude, as well.
Your contributions — dollars, time, actions — couldn't come at a more important time in our history. I realize that's a dramatic statement — but it's also true. The anti-choice people who've descended on Aurora are led by some of the most radical and frightening of their kind. The tone of their protests, and the fact that their numbers are growing, are signs of what lies ahead for Planned Parenthood and for women in Aurora and across America.
If there was ever a time for us to ask for help from our pro-choice friends and family — this is it.
You may have already spread the word, but if not, please take a moment to do so now. Tell your circle what's happening in Aurora and what it means for access to reproductive health care and choice for all of us.

I'm not going to debate choice in this entry. This is me just passing information onto others that might share my belief that women have a right to, at the very least, get information they need to make informed choices. I normally keep most of my politics talk to my personal journal, but I feel this is something people should know about.
