I am sitting here waiting for Bebel to return from her morning class so we can go out and do some fun stuff for my last day here in Los Angeles. As she runs on Bebel's Brazillian time, we will probably get moving around dinner time.
I can't believe how fast this week went and I'm so glad I decided to go to
winchestercon. Because that gave me an excuse to spend time with Bebel and Frankie. Alas, my friend, Blake, was unavailable this week. ::insert sad face::
So Wincon...
I'm so glad to have met so many awesome fangirls! Seriously, everyone was kickass awesome and really nice.
iamtheenemy and I were finally in the same place at the same time, doubling our awesomeness, and despite a few issues at LAX, we both got from the airport to the hotel unscathed.
Dropped off my luggage, changed into something not so icky from a six hour flight, and hung out with Steph for a bit before we headed downstairs for registration.
Loved rewatching the first two episodes of the season with fangirls. Loved the panels. Loved wandering around the hotel and going to the skeeviest porn shop ever (with very weird stained-glassed panels).
I am still scarred by leopard!porn, naked Jared except for a trench coat and the accidental buttsex, and gleaming malevolent dildos that could be covered in peanut butter or blood (how does one confuse the two, I wonder), but Fic Idol was still hysterical and fortunately our poor judges were provided with liquor.
The dinner was hot fangirls all dressed up and hanging out and trying to stump the bartenders with drinks (it wasn't very hard to do - I asked for an amaretto sour and they seemed confused). Lots of wonderful raffle giveaways, proving how talented fangirls are.
Mostly, I loved meeting so many people from my friends list and names that I recognized from around fandom. Alas, as
wendy and I discussed Sunday morning, there wasn't nearly enough time to spend with all the various fangirls.
Kassie and Jenn deserve a huge round of applause for running such an amazing, fun weekend. They rocked.
I tried to add as many of y'all as I could remember spending time with, but I'm sure I've forgotten some, so feel free to add me (just let me know so I notice it and add you back)

Tomorrow is going to be hell day of flying. I'm still working on my sister and/or mom to pick me up at the Philadelphia airport. Neither wants to do it because my flight gets in right at rush hour. And I'm a big baby who hates Rapid Rover.
