tv time is the time...

It's Friday and my boss gave us our paychecks early so I can cash it on my lunch. Woo-hoo. I'm going to stop at Borders and pick up Lance Bass' book while I'm out too. Double fun!
This totally makes up for the sinus headache earlier and the fact that I'm exhausted though I have no idea why.

I'm running a week behind on Ugly Betty from vacation, so last night I watched last week's episode. I seriously enjoy this show a whole lot. And Victor Garber was on! And I love Daniel with Alex, helping her at work (even if part of it is guilt) and his special "codes" with Betty. I loved Amanda's "Ugly Willy" line when she finds the pictures, but her promise to keep it a secret, so Willy helps her. But the best line was from Henry: "See ya later, Calculator!" I love Henry. He's such a dork. I am worried about Justin though. And the baby is Henry's? I hope this doesn't change down the line to make Charlie some big villain.
One thing I do stay caught up on is Supernatural. I don't miss my boys unless an act of God stands in my way (or an evil dvr, like last year).
Episode 3.4
I love how much time Sam and Dean are spending with Bobby now. It makes me very happy. They both need a father-figure in their lives and he obviously cares about them and knows what's going on. It makes me so happy.
I really enjoyed this episode and all the information we got about the ongoing storyline. Mostly, I loved how it was done. Info dumps can be tricky things sometimes and this worked. And I really loved Dean having the conversations with the demon, chatting with her, and making the best of situations. That's one of the things I love most about Dean - with the exception of Sam's death (which is a given), Dean is a guy who pretty much makes the most of what every situation gives him. I think that's part of the reason he is such a good hunter.
I like the idea of Lucifer and how he's a faith for the demons, like God is for humans. Is that Ruby and is that why she's curious about YED's plans for Sam? Is it more a thing where it would've *been* Sam and that's why demons would've followed him? And I guess that means there are angels, and does that include Dean since his mom always talked to him about being with the angels and such? Really intrigued by how this could go.
I get why Sam killed the two innocents with the Colt, to save Dean and at Ruby's prompting. But Bobby was just willing to shoot Ruby because she goaded him? He was the guy in the first season who was warning Dean about exorcising Meg after she'd been hurt. It doesn't ring true to me.
I really did love that episode, and I'm enjoying the new characters and Bobby's constant presence, but that said...I would like an episode where it is just Sam and Dean again. Because I love our boys when it's just them and the big bad. It makes me happy.

Date: 2007-10-26 07:07 pm (UTC)I haven't gotten very far because it's kind of like reading someone's very uncomfortable college essay about "the turning point in my life" or something. *sigh*

Date: 2007-10-26 07:48 pm (UTC)And yeah, I'm not expecting great writing. I'm just a mean girl who wants to read it just like I want to read Darren Daulton of the Phillies' book (He's gone CRAZY!). I didn't pick it up yet though because I forgot my Borders coupon and I'm not paying full price. Dont' love Lance *that* much.
