I'm home sick because the stupid sinus infection has settled in my chest. Yuck. It's the same sinus infection I've been battling on and off for the past few months. It's driving me crazy.

Television chatting:

Ugly Betty



This episode was hysterical. Oh balls. The stuff with Claire and her prison life partner *hiding* in Betty's room was awesome. And Henry acting like he was a player. So very good. I couldn't stop laughing throughout most of the episode.

Figured that Bradford would kick the bucket, but I'm glad that Daniel got to "talk" to him and that Daniel & Betty are back on track.



Project Runway:



I love this show. I love the buckets of crazy that some of the designers are. I love the pretty clothes and boggling with my sister over the ugly clothes.

There are some hot boys this season and Christian is so bitchy that I adore him.

Most of the girls frighten me. Either they have bizarre names like "Sweet P" or dye their clothes with the grass in Bryant Park. Very, very odd.



And now, the most important of all, the Sam & Dean show, Supernatural



This was such a good episode. As much as I am enjoying the interaction with other hunters and stuff, I really love and adore the episodes that's mostly concentrated on Sam and Dean being together and working to handle things.

Was that Harmony as a vampire? Nice touch. Even if she didn't really think she was one. And I felt bad that she had to die, but she was out of control and I think both Sam and Dean realized there was no way to save her.

Oh Gordon, you are buckets of crazy. And oh Bela, why are you helping the crazy man?

Dean throwing himself to the wolves to protect Sam and then Sam worrying back at the motel until Dean returns. I want that fic, my friends. I love that Dean immediately calls Bela and even she knows that she's in trouble. You do not mess with Sammy's life. That's just a given.

The comparison between the vampire's choices and Dean's sacrifice were a bit heavy-handed, but I don't really care because we got a Sam and Dean moment of glory. We got Sam basically saying what we all know. That Sam has adored his brother since he was a baby and knows him better than anyone and really just misses having his Dean. And I love that Sam is finally get through to Dean. I don't think Dean will ever stop putting himself in danger to protect his brother - that's just inherent to who Dean is, no matter how much it bugs Sam - but I think we might finally see Dean dealing with things.

And that's the other fic that I want - the little Sammy adoring his big brother and trying to become more like him. Like stealing Dean's shirts and things. Dean going crazy wondering where they went only to discover Sam has them.

I love Dean's reaction when Sam gets separated from him, like it's just Sam's luck, and then yelling at him to be careful.

And again, we see Sam's lines getting grayer when it concerns Dean. Sam is still trying to talk to Gordon until he sees Gordon attacking Dean. Then he freaks out.

And the last scene with the car. GAH.

I love these boys so much. I love how much they say to each other without ever uttering a word or saying things between the lines.

I barely got my 500 words done yesterday, more added to Winchester Meets Halliwell, but it was like pulling teeth and I have a feeling most of it is utter crap. I'm blaming evil sinus issues.

Now I shall continue to watch Numb3rs and enjoy another pair of brothers that love each other a whole lot. I have to wait for my sister to get home to watch Dirty Sexy Money from this week...

Oh, nearly as incoherent as this. The relationship conversations are blowing me right the fuck away -- the body language Padalecki in particular is pulling off is award-worthy. Did you see his eyes welling up when he laid everything out for Dean?

And yes...YES as far as the writing!!!! I know it won't quiet those people that constantly complain Sera Gamble writes Dean OOC, but damn -- anyone should be able to get a look at this episode and marvel at how utterly and completely she gets these boys.

The scene with the Impala? Perfect and so freakin' multi-layered. I have to admit in retrospect, it's almost like that scene was for the intelligent viewers -- the confrontation scene with the vampire was for anyone who wanted it spelled out.

And I forget whether it's you or thenyxie who suggested it back at the start of the season, but I think the big reveal on Azazel's implication that Sam isn't quite right is that what we're seeing *is* all Sam Winchester. You can't go through what he's been through and not be changed.

Buffy tried to address that in S6 with seriously compromised results (IMO, YMMV and other 'nettisms). I would be so happy for Supernatural to tackle it and get it right.
