The Hiatus Countdown Supernatural Friending Spree

In honor of the countdown underway until we get more episodes of Supernatural (which means more Sam and Dean!!!), I’ve decided to host a Supernatural Friending Meme.

So come chat with others, make new friends, talk about all the wonderful things that you love about Supernatural and look forward to. Random, wild hypotheses are more than welcome, but please no spoilers.

Please no flaming or wank! This is fun, like sunshine, rainbows and hot boys making out.

Also please PIMP like mad. The more people participating, the more fun it will be. So grab your friends and have them play! Pimp, pimp, pimp!!!

And finally, don’t forget to check out the fun activities underway at [livejournal.com profile] spn_gleeweek!

Name: Jo
Sam, Dean, Sam & Dean: Sam & Dean with a little more emphasis on Dean.
Favorite Episode of Season 1: Hell House or Provenance (the guy from Eurotrip or Sarah?)
Favorite Episode of Season 2: In My Time of Dying or Hollywood Babylon (that sweetass ouija board scene or walking off into the sunset?)
Favorite Aired Episode of Season 3: Bad Day at Black Rock or Fresh Blood (the Batman bit or multiple decapitations?)
Wild theory on how Dean’s soul is saved (again, no spoilers please): Umm... something involving unicorns. Sorry, my brain is kinda fried from thesis writing, ugh.
Recommend something in SPN fandom that all should know about: Mainchan's vids! (http://www.youtube.com/user/maichan2) They are all sorts of awesome.
What’s included in your journal (fanfiction, graphics, personal, etc.): Almost entirely RL talk 'cause I suck at being insightful or entertaining when it comes to fandom stuff... but I love reading people's journals who are!
Other fandoms: Does J2 count? Probably not... But, uh, Supernatural and J2 are pretty much it for me. I dabbled a little in Drake and Josh (shuddup), Big Wolf on Campus, and popslash, but those were all ages ago.
One random fact about you: I played at Carnegie Hall when I was 14 with my high school orchestra. The stairs to get up to the stage are wicked steep and I had to drag my double bass up them in palazzo pants and platforms. Fun.

Hee! I took a quick peek at your LJ and nearly dropped at you wanting to live in Vancouver. I live in Vancouver! It's the little things that entertain me, clearly XD

Of course I wanna live in Vancouver =) It's pretty and there are pot cafes. And it's Canada! UBC would've been a cool place to go to grad school. Maybe I'll apply again in a couple years to get another MA. But I'm totally jealous of you heh

He he he, yep it's a great city to live in, I can vouch for that ;) I don't go to UBC myself, although I'd contemplated it. I ended up going to SFU instead, not sure if you'd heard of it. It's basically the other main university around this area.

I definitely say do it if you can! What's your masters in?

I did run across SFU in my international school searches. UBC was crazy expensive to apply to though, so I had to narrow down my options. What are you studying at SFU?

I'll be at NYU this fall to get my masters in Museum Studies. I figure, if I'm too scared to go job hunting after graduation, I can always go to UBC for a masters in anthropology... if only for the excuse to live in Vancouver for a little bit.

Yeah, international rates are -always- crazy for uni. I'm majoring in Theatre there, they have a really great acting program.

And that does sound like a good excuse to visit Vancouver, although be forewarned, the weather gods here are on crack. So... basically be prepared for any weather no matter what time of day or year, and be ready for it to change every 5 minutes XD

Ah, cracked-out weather gods are something I'm quite familiar with. Ithaca's weather is just all sorts of wonky. Put ten layers and galoshes in the morning 'cause it's raining slush, and by the afternoon you're walking around in flip flops and tank tops with that winter coat shoved in your backpack. At least the weather wouldn't add to the culture shock of living somewhere as awesome as Vancouver heh

Yeah, that sounds like our weather, only it's changing every hour XD Definitely makes it easier on culture shock. And now I'm gonna have to look up where Ithaca is, because that name is made of awesome.

It's not the Greek myth Ithaca, right?

*am also going to friend*

It's in the Finger Lakes region of New York. The guys who were mapping the area were in love with Greek epics or something 'cause everything around here is Greek. Ithaca, Homer, Ulysses. Apparently, though, Ithaca's first name was Sodom... 'cause it was the city of sin. Which is pretty much the coolest thing ever.

*friended ya as well*

Wow, that really -is- the coolest thing ever! On both names. That's kind of awesome that you live in a place that was a city of sin. I wanna live in a city of sin, but instead in I'm the city of decaf lattes and organic produce XD
