Whoa, that is intense, yikes! 500mg vs. 5 is kind of a big distinction. Eep. Hope your doc was properly bitchslapped for that. Um. I'm glad you were resurrected!

My "death" is less death-y than yours by a substantial margin, hope it's not too great of a disappointment.
I never actually died, no heart-stoppage, but someone in the ER (I still don't know who exactly) thought that I did. I am unclear how this mistake wasn't caught earlier, especially since they had a bunch of hospital records for me in the days/weeks after that, but the wrong form got filled out, and months later (totally healthy) I found out that I'd been legally dead that whole time. Looked myself up in the Social Security Death Index and everything.
I generally hope that my ER doc knows the difference between dead and not-dead. They should teach that (and factors of ten, apparently, based on your experience!) in med school.

Clearly you outrank me in the Undead Hierarchy. Nevertheless, would love to be friends.

Dr. was never "properly" bitchslapped in the legal sense, though he aplogizied profusely. My mom was in the middle of doing a degree, my father never much for the paying attention to such things... so... I suppose it slipped under legal-eagle radar. -smiling-

I'm so glad you never died! And that.. while it sounds like some paperwork SNAFU, it was just red-tape, v. ... you know, the real thing! =D
