Saturday was a busy day and today was all sleepy day. As I woke up with the headache of hell. And I still can't get rid of it. So after sleeping until three pm, I'm pretty much ready for bed already. And it sorta bums me out that I slept all day because there were things I wanted to do (needed to do, actually, especially with moving looming in the next few months).

My sister and I watched Jumper earlier this evening and it was just. Dumb. And the end left me with more questions than anything. It was just bizarre. On the brightside, it was only 88 minutes, so I don't feel like I lost my life. Just some brain cells.

Though I do think it would be fun to do a small challenge where people write fics about their favorite characters developing the abilities to be a jumper.

**

I think I finally get to see Sex & the City movie this week. I was supposed to see it last Thursday, but my friend was sick, so we're going this Thursday. And now it seems that I have to see the Incredible Hulk because people are raving about it. It just better not be anything like the horrors of the one with Eric Bana. Or I will cry.

**

Now I shall go collapse and die of headache pain.

Hope you're feeling better soon. *hug*

I've never seen the Hulk movie with Eric Bana, so I have nothing to compare this one to. Three days after seeing it, the only word I can use to describe it is "incredible". ;)

The Hulk vs. Abomination fight is one of the best action scenes I've ever seen. Have you seen Iron Man? The fight between Iron Man and Iron Monger is weak compared to Hulk and Abomination. There are 2 other action scenes in the movie, and those are awesome, too. ;)

Here's my Edward Norton fangirl part of the review: he gives another great performance (no surprise there) and looked SO good. I should've brought a bucket for all the drool. ;)

And how could I forget the RDJ cameo? It was too short, but it was nice to see him on the big screen again. If only he could have shared a scene with Ed.

Do NOT see the Hulk with Eric Bana. Seriously, it was so bad and Nick Nolte didn't help. ::shudders::

But I'm gonna take your encouragement and go see the new version. I mean, it's Edward Norton! I sat through freaking 25 Hours for that man.

Now I have to see how bad the other Hulk movie really is. Yes, a spot on the Netflix queue will be wasted on this one.

YAY! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the new Hulk.

25th Hour isn't my favorite Edward Norton movie, but I liked it.

Favorite Norton movie? That's a 3-way tie between American History X, Fight Club, and Primal Fear.

Eric Bana is a great actor. But not as the Hulk. The Hulk needs to be nerd hot not I-look-great-in-a-leather-skirt hot.

Yeah, and it doesn't help that the script was the suck. Hee. I am excited for EB in Time Traveller's Wife. That will be good stuff (i hope)

It was just dumb. Like the basic premise could've been interesting, but they focused on a boring romance instead of the actual relationship between the jumpers and the Palatines (spelling?)

(((HUGS))) Feel better.

Oh, no! Is Jumper worse than The Covenant?

See, the Covenant was cheesy bad, but enjoyable. And for the most part, it made sense.

Jumper was just so very dumb. You couldn't really care about *any* of the characters and it made no sense. Especially the last scene. According to my coworker, it's supposed to be a trilogy, but yeah, uh...

Oh, no. Maybe I should read the book first.

yeah, just to echo the other thoughts here, i thought "hulk" was pretty darn good...but i expected it to really really suck, so exceeding expectations wasn't hard. i thought it was just as good as iron man, though, which i was desperate to have be good and was kind of disappointed by. so. YMMV or whatever.

more i guess i'm just excited about how they're wrapping all these up together for an eventual avengers movie? and i think that will be so very, very kick ass. and "hulk" has lots of insider-y nods at pop culture and people who see ALL these movies and know comic books and stuff, which is fun.

i just saw "broadcast news" for the first time like two weeks ago though, so i have very skewed mental view of william hurt at the moment.

uhh - anyway. the tim russert stuff is just slaying me, i still can't quite believe it - did you see the interview with his son this morning on the today show? brutally, brutally sad. that poor kid - a week after his college graduation, just after such a happy family vacation, father's day weekend for a guy who was SO IN TO being a father and son? i mean dude. bleh. the entire washington establishment is pretty well in shock about it. and the montage they did at the end of MTP on sunday, to "thunder road," which apparently springsteen dedicated to his memory at whatever show he was playing on sat night? GOD.

(and, um, gwen ifill 4 moderator! i'm on a personal crusade.)
