since I can't upload my story yet...

So much to do, so much to do...and yet, here I am, updating my livejournal. though that is most likely the most important thing I'll undertake today.
So some dipshit had his/her way with the
yuletide site so I can't upload my story yet. Just why? I don't understand the appeal of doing stuff like that. It's along the same lines as all the fandom wank, hate posts that occur. Why? What does it accomplish except to make you look like the ass? I mean, someone could be spot on about his/her take on a fandom writer, but by posting things in that means...I'm sorry, but I grew up being told, "You have a problem with someone, you deal with it directly" and "If you've got nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all."
I understand we all get frustrated and annoyed with people and the like, but there are better places to vent, better places where you're not hurting people's feelings.
Oh, the Internet makes some people so damn brave in their anonymity, doesn't it?

Some fun memes that I haven't had a chance to do until now:
TV meme
Best introduction to a TV series? (meaning movies, pilot episodes and miniseries, not credits)
I loved the Joan of Arcadia pilot. Cute!boy God! Joan and God banter…and it was the first example of Joan’s listening to god causing good ripples.
Most frustrating cliffhanger for a TV series?
There are two:
West Wing (season 1) because I didn’t know who was shot and I was freaking out all damn summer, praying they didn’t kill Josh.
The season two cliffhanger of Alias was killer – waiting all that time to find out what happened to Sydney and what was going on…even for a slight answer.
Best resolved sexual tension in a TV series?
Luke and Lorelai on Gilmore Girls - only took five seasons, but worth the wait!
Most heartwrenching character death?
Buffy’s mom – Gah. I wasn’t even a fan of Joyce, but Buffy finding her and whispering, “mommy” and the whole thing. Gah. Thinking about it upsets me.
Most upsetting (but not heartwrenching) character death?
Mrs. Landingham on West Wing - what purpose did it serve? She was wonderful and didn’t the president have enough on his plate? Though, it did allow for him to give probably the best monologue from the entire run of the show.
Most surprising character death?
Jill on Party of Five - couldn’t we have cut Bailey a break? Oh well.
Best funeral scene/episode in a TV series?
West Wing - Two Cathedrals
Most frustrating character replacement in a TV series?
Sam Seaborne…because while I love Josh Malina, I have come to hate Will with a firey passion.
TV show that would have been much better if all of the characters were fuzzy talking animals?
Uh…Seventh Heaven? It might not be as annoying and preachy if it was played by animals.
TV show that would have been much worse off if all of the characters were fuzzy talking animals?
I don’t think Arrested Development would be as wonderful without the family as is.
STORY REVIEW MEME:
My favorite story this year (of my own): A New Future - Charmed (Chris) - I loved how this story turned out. It was one of the easiest things to write once I got that first paragraph down. I love the character of adult Chris and I wanted to believe that after the finale of season six, he moved onto that better world he created. This story is what came about.
Story most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: A New Motto - The O.C. (Seth/Ryan) - I think this story is pretty good. It was my first foray into this fandom, written for a ficathon, and not even the person I wrote it for responded. I like to think it wasn't so bad. In fact, I enjoy it...and I guess that's all that counts, right? (No! It's not enough! Go read! All of you! Read and feedback, dammit!)
Most fun story: Sometimes Angst Is Overrated - The Karaoke Escapade - X-Men Movieverse (bobby/john) - This was written for a ficathon and all that was wanted was some major fluff. I aimed to please and this story was a lot of fun to write. Who doesn't like the idea of John forced against his will to partake in karaoke? Or am I the only one?
Hardest story to write: Oh there were a few of them, but I'd say Another Bad Day - Gilmore Girls (rory/omc) - I've never felt very connected to the character of Rory, except through her mother's eyes. I'm much more able to relate to Lorelai. This became especially true after the finale of last season. So this story was exceptionally hard for me to write without making it seem like I despised Rory. I like to think I succeeded in the end.
Most telling story: Conversations With Ghosts - Harry Potter (Remus) - I think this story basically accomplishes what it sets out to without any real hindrances.
My best story this year: Scenes From The Passenger Seat - Joan of Arcadia (Joan, Kevin) - There were a few stories I was fond of that I wrote. I think this is my favorite. It might not be my most well-written piece, but I love the whole story and the relationship between Kevin and Joan.

In other news, I still have everyone's wish list items that I think I can saved. You might not get it until after the holiday is officially over (as during the holiday vacation is most likely the first chance I'll have to grant those wishes), but there coming! I love the idea of it and want to do it for people.
I also have a bunch of recs to put up here in different fandoms, but I want to wait until I have a few moments to sort through them properly.
In the meantime, the next few days will be filled with some beta work for people, my Charmed Santa project, and my story for the most wubulous cyber daughter ever,
iamtheenemy.
Wish me luck! I've got four days!
Ciao.
