So fairy_tale_echo and scribblinlenore issued an interesting Veronica Mars drabble challenge based on this week's episode right here and I felt it necessary to respond.



Logan was in his car, speeding down the highway, before he even realized what he was doing. He was rushing off to save Veronica Mars, the girl who up until a few weeks ago had been his sworn enemy, the girl who he blamed for breaking him and Lilly up. He’d worry about his motivations later, he decided. For the moment, he would focus on the fact that someone was in trouble. He couldn’t save his mother or Lilly, but he would be damned if he lost someone else. Not this time. He glanced at his spedometer, increasing his speed to beat them to the motel.

Very nice! I like how it acknowledges the unexpectedness of his impulse. Why is he trying to save Veronica? Maybe he's not really sure, but he's going to do it, by God.

Yeah, I'm hoping he didn't either. Because then there is no possibility of V/L that I could tolerate...I just don't want them to change Logan too much too quickly. I like that he lashes out at people verbally and that he's not always nice...okay, I just like him.

I loved this, as usual with everything you write. I love that Logan's train of thought here, because it's just a little confused and still very determined. Really the heart of what appeals to me in his character in general. This character? You got him. :)
