there was some squeeing and cursing...

Work is killing me right now. Suddenly, there are like massive changes to my access databases and it just takes so damn long to make the changes and print the new reports, lists, labels. Bah. Bah, I say.
Still processing veronica mars - very good. Have kept it to watch over and over. No coherent thoughts really.
Last episode, as soon as the camera was introduced, I had a feeling skeevy perv man killed Lilly. My sister had been saying it for weeks, but once I saw those cameras, I knew there had to be a *reason* they were introduced.
Dude! I love Weevil, but if he hurt Logan, he is dead to me.
And who do we think was at the door? Please don't be Duncan, please don't be Duncan...
I want it to be Logan, dammit, but it would make most sense it's Wallace (though, then I tell myself, "Self, if Alicia is at hospital, someone has to stay at Wallace's house to take care of his younger sibling...but again, that's just 'cause I *want* it to be Logan!)
Though I would understand why he wouldn't forgive her. I love Veronica, I do, but yeah, I think he's within his rights to be a bit angry with her.
And was I the only one who didn't care much for Jake Kane's woe at the end? Because you know what, if you hadn't covered the whole damn thing up, paid someone off, this whole thing could've been solved months ago. Asshole.
Whereas Keith Mars is the best dad on television since Spy!Daddy...Keith can be PI!Daddy...I loved that he's Veronica's dad and they both know that now!
Veronica's mother, however, is a selfish bitch. Really...stealing the money, knowing full-well that it's money so that Veronica can go to college (like the first time around wasn't bad enough). Just, grr...stay away.
I will try to formulate coherent thoughts later, but that's all for now.

For Gilmore Girls, all I will say is I really hate Rory and don't give a damn what happens to her. Hate her so much. She truly seems to believe that the world revolves entirely around her.
Gah.

Okay, will try to read some entries, share in the VM squee where fit, and hopefully finish up my Access hell very soon.
Ciao.

I think it would be much better if Rory went off to discover herself at a think tank and it was the One Gilmore Girl, One Danes Boy show.

Date: 2005-05-11 12:14 pm (UTC)My thoughts exactly, even though I'm 99% sure it is. *sigh* Though I'd just like to take this moment to thank Rob Thomas for making LoVe actually happen (brevity, red herrings & all). The man takes risks! *thumbs up*
But poor Logan! *gently pulls off ledge of certain doom and holds* So now he's orphaned and having a breakdown. >_< The guy needs some love. I bet he's going to end up in a mental institution for the summer. Well, or rehab. At least, he become legal in less than a year.
Love PI!Dadddy! :-D Of course, he's her daddy! hehe I never had any doubt. Great smackdown!
I was just laughing at Jake's reaction at the end. Serves him right for not trusting in Sheriff Mars. ;-P
Lianne. Ugh! I hope we NEVER see her again.

Date: 2005-05-11 03:48 pm (UTC)Logan can come stay with me. I'll trust him and while I don't really need protection (aside from my own klutzy self), um...he can stick around.

I trust Logan too but we've got an outsiders perspective. Veronica, time and time again, has been given the chance to trust him. Instead, she didn't and literally ran in the other direction several times. She has never fully let herself trust him. :-(
The thing that makes me believe it was Duncan was the underlying currents that surfaced during the last 15 minutes of the episode: D/V closely watching the tapes together, V telling D about the paternity test, V & D's mutual understanding of Logan's mistreatment by Aaron, D calling V concerned he can't find Aaron, D telling his father about Aaron and accompaning him to find V & A (showing his protective side *wink*), and the number one (and final reason)...
the longing looks from both of them at the scene of the accident. That sealed the deal for me. It's been pretty obvious they were each others first love and they had never really gotten over one another, despite swearing they were over it and dating other people in an attempt to move on.
V responds well to those trying to protect her. (example, Logan's smackdown at the Camelot.) D coming to the scene (albeit late) was a sign of this. Plus last time V saw Logan, he had just confronted her about accusing him of murdering Lilly and her father yelled at him to get away. And the last time we saw L, he was drunk on a bridge ledge being confronted by the biker gang. Even if he came out of that situation unscathed, I can't see him sobering up and crawling back to Veronica (especially if learned his father had an affair with his ex and killed her).
And I just realized this but Veronica/Duncan is VD (Like A Virgin).
Yeah, I know. I'm horrible with run on sentences. *blush*

Date: 2005-05-12 09:19 am (UTC)The big question: was she calling Logan for help or to warn him?

Date: 2005-05-11 12:58 pm (UTC)And actually, when Mr. Huntzberger was trashing Rory, my first thought was that Logan's dad was telling Rory she wasn't reporter material to break her and Logan up! Rory's acting like the "innocent" 16 year old of the first season! *smacks Rory*

Date: 2005-05-11 04:11 pm (UTC)But honestly, there is a difference between being a great writer and a great journalist...so I think that's what he was trying to get at.
But I agree about not inheriting Lorelai's strengths, but I think it's more because she's never needed to rely on that. Everyone has always sort of *revered* her in a way, and now she has this experience with someone who didn't know her and she's not sure what to make of it.
ugh!!!
