To others who have the backstreet boys album? Are you having trouble playing it on your computer? I didn't get the duel disc because I already have the video on my computer...so I thought why spend the extra five bucks? Anyway, the cd plays fine in my car stereo and my home stereo, but I want to listen to it on my computer and it keeps frelling skipping. Is this part of their anti-piracy stuff because it's bullshit, man...I usually listen to music from my computer while writing and this means no new BSB on my list. And I want to add "Weird World" dammit. That song is addictive.

So does anyone know if I'm doing something wrong? Is there a way around this? Did I just get a "defective only sometimes" copy of the cd?

Tomorrow I'm taking my little bit, Ellen, to see Madagascar. I think, anyway. She keeps talking about wanting to see the new Star Wars but she's five...and I don't think she'll like it right now. But I was five when I saw the first Star Wars as my mother pointed out. Plus, I'm the first to admit that Ellen has me wrapped around her fingers. She hugs me, tells me that I'm her "favorite girl", and we do whatever she wants.

So yeah. Even if *I* want to see Madagascar. I mean, how can you go wrong with plotting penguins?

And I was told by my sister [livejournal.com profile] floundering (everyone wave to butterbean, the sister of Tommygirl) that I was not allowed to see Batman Begins without her under penalty of death.

I think everyone should join me in prodding [livejournal.com profile] sdlucly to write an O.C./Mr. and Mrs. Smith crossover fic. It would be great! I've even given her the basic premise.

The Tank is sent to do an assassination on Caleb, but it gets botched up when he meets his look-alike Seth. Well, this on top of the way he let all the information slip to the Smiths has left him in a precarious position with the firm...so he decides to become Seth. But Ryan totally figures it out and chaos ensues.

So join me, people, in getting [livejournal.com profile] sdlucly to write this. I've already got two O.C. stories in progress that will never, ever be finished.

**

Speaking of never finished. I'm making progress on A New Journey, but not enough. Damn these people with surprise birthday parties, graduations, anniversaries. I can't keep up. I love my friends, but it's like they know when I have deadlines looming in the distance and attempt to fill up my calendar.

Eek!

But I'm making a vow to write on Sunday. If you spot me on here, chide me something terrible (especially my [livejournal.com profile] wip_a_team pals) until I abandon the internet and get back to writing. with such limited free time at the moment amidst full-time work and school...I really need to be spending my time writing when I have it.

(My excuse right now is that I'm taking a break from calculating my offices monthly expenses in favor of this rather lame update on my sad life.)

**

I'm off to try and pass away the last hour of work for the week and then I've got to rush home and wrap the best friend's gift before her birthday dinner and outing. See...I procrastinate on everything in my life.

Ciao.

1) I have the new BSB album, although I paid extra for the dual disc (only 2 extra bucks at Best Buy!). The CD portion plays just fine in my computer. I did notice on amazon.com that the single disc version was noted as "anti-piracy," so that might be the reason.

2) I think EpIII is the only Star Wars movie to get a PG-13 rating, so technically it's not equivalent to say you saw EpIV at age 5. But then again, kids these days ("damn kids these days!!") are a lot savvier, a lot earlier, so maybe she could handle PG-13.

3) A New Journey? YES!!

4) The link to Penknife's journal entry re: het vs slash vs gen, in your other post, wasn't working when I clicked on it. I'm too lazy to comment again.

So I should have spent the few extra dollars! Dammit! My cheapness has thwarted me once again. Oh, the backstreet boys will RUE the day.

And I fixed the link now, so if you're interested in the read, you can go now. I'm just a tool who doesn't pay attention.

Dude, you're totally torturing me. I'm actually thinking about writing it. Like, trying to come up with an opening scene and wondering if I could manage to write something without having bought the movie first.

Argh. I hate you... not. ♥
