I may or may not have started a five kisses piece for pearl_o's challenge that revolves around Jensen Ackles making out with various costars of his. Damn you, Jensen. You own my brain and I'd like it back. Okay, you don't have to give it back, but you *must* come shovel away snow and rake leaves shirtless.

Episode 1.14 - Nightmare

I was all about this episode, which makes me happy. Because I was not all about last week's episode. I mean, I enjoyed shirtless, sexed up Dean, but the reason I love this show is the brothers' core relationship, not outside relationships. And there was very little of that. (But really, when it comes to this show, my "not all about" is much higher than "didn't like")

So yes, LOVED this episode. Dean=hotness. Sam=cuteness. The difference being Dean I'd make out with while Sam I'd want to take care of.

This episode just...

Sam realizing that despite all his bitching of the first chunk of episodes, his father was a good father to him and Dean. And I think that will help better curb the few problem areas the brothers do have between them. Because I think now Sam can understand why Dean is so loyal to his dad.

Also love how Dean doesn't want to leave Sam alone with crazy guy with big forehead. Love how Sam develops his new power in order to save his brother. UTTERLY love the way Dean told Sam that as long as he was around nothing would ever hurt Sam. And Sam believes him. Pretty much everyone watching believes him because I honestly don't think there is anything Dean *wouldn't* do for his brother.

So crazy forehead guy's mom died the same way...and he developed his powers around the same time as Sam. Hhhmm...is this important for any other reason than to show Sam what could've been and maybe push him closer to understanding his father? Is there some army of boys and girls out there with powers whose moms all died like that? Very bizarre.

But gah! The love. I can't wait to go home and rewatch it again and again. Must find the nuances (or just stare at Dean cleaning weaponry...Dean packing his clothes while promising Sam to take care of him...Dean, Dean, Dean...)

Sam + Dean = 4-Eva!

Last night's ep was fantastic! I do love my Brothers Winchester.

You're right about the outside relationships. I love Dean flirting with these other girls, and maybe Sam flirting a bit as well, but I don't want to see one become a regular anytime soon. I think that's why in fic you have to be careful with OCs. They can't take the spotlight away from the brothers.:)

And Sam with all these nifty powers rocks. But I want Dean to have nifty powers, too.

Can't you just see Sam and Wyatt having a long talk about being "the special one"?
