My 2009 Wishlist

tommygirlSo it's that time of year for wish lists and such. I'm trying to save them as I go, but feel free to link me to your wishlist as I would like to do something small for any of you if I can. As usual, because I'm poor, I tend to keep my list fannish/creative because that's all I really can return. And it's the small things that always make me happy anyway.
so onto it...
Step One
- Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your friends list (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

3. schmoopy fic for any of my favorite pairings - dean/sam (spn), michael/maria (roswell), abby/jimmy (harper's island), reid/morgan (criminal minds), dinozzo/mcgee (ncis), kirk/mccoy (ST RB)...you guys know I love the schmoop...and I'm always open to genderbenders too!
4. online holiday cards - email is tommygirl828 (at) gmail (dot) com
5. A soundtrack to any of my stories & why you picked those songs
6. I'd love one of those layouts for liveournal that changes pictures and the directions on how to actually load it.
7. picspams of hot boys - jensen, jared, ben affleck, michael phelps, john mayer, justin timberlake...
8. Twilight - Alice/Jasper fic - I'd take recs of good A/J fic too.
9. Recipes for healthy meals - I'm learning to cook and trying to lose weight, so nothing too extreme, but some easy, healthy recipes are always appreciated.
10. Random Acts of Kindness - do something for someone else, online or in real life, and just let me know. Like pay for someone's coffee in line behind you or hold a door open for someone or tell a friend how much you care about them.
Again, I wish I could do things like buy y'all books and such, but I'm broke as broke could be, so I try to stick to the small things and don't ask more of that than anyone else.
