Thanks to the wonders of TIVO and the fact that Alias was not on, I was able to see the part of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone where they gave us the sneak-peek stuff without sitting through commercials and such for four hours of my life.
POA looks so good. So dark. It seems that Alfonso has really got a hold on the general theme of the book--and while I can't help but hold out for some interesting scenes between the male characters ala Y Tu Mama Tambien, I think he was a great choice to direct it. The Dementors appear to be just as I imagined them, terrifying to the core, and the boys are growing up.
I hold out hope that this movie will hold up to not only the appearance the previews have given it, but to my utter adoration of the book. This is my favorite book of the series thus far and I think it serves as a real turning point for the main characters...it'll be nice to see it come to fruition on the big screen.
In honor of the upcoming event, I have taken to rereading the series of books to prepare myself fully. I'm such a nerd. As if I don't have enough books to read without my constant need to reread the Harry Potter books.

iamtheenemy has asked me to write her Sarkney fic. Considering how far behind on my other writing projects (fanfiction and regular), I don't know when this fiction piece will spring out...but it is such an interesting pairing to me. Not to mention, so hot and full of possibilities in a twisted way.
Maybe one day...
