GIP, GIP, GIP...much love to Vera because it totally rocks and stuff. It's Winchester meets Halliwell - all my boys in one itty, bitty icon! Now I have to finish the next story in that world, I guess.

The Oscars were okay. Jon Stewart rocked. Loved the smear campaign ad pieces. But there were no real surprises this year in any categories. Though I think Jessica Alba has turned me gay. She looked so freaking good last night. So very good.
And I love George Clooney so he can stick around.
Um...they forgot Don Knotts in the In Memorium thing. I guess it happened after they put that together? Because he did movies too - he wasn't just a television actor.
Not sure I agree with the Best Picture choice. Crash was an interesting movie, but definitely not better than the other nominees.
And that's about my only reaction to the Oscars. This was the first year since I was in high school that I hadn't seen all the movies, but I still haven't watched Good Night and Good Luck. My mother and sister went without me - my mother loved it, my sister hated it - and I figured I would just wait for video.
**
So much writing to do. Again, another weekend where I didn't write. In fairness, Terry and the sister dragged me furniture shopping on Saturday so that we could get an idea for what we wanted/needed when we move (Again! Gah!) Then Sunday there was another open house so we have to vacate the premises for the day...and came home just in time for Oscar fun. Really. I just want to have a weekend to myself. Is that too much to ask?

Date: 2006-03-06 10:34 am (UTC)I didn't watch much of the Oscars but I saw George Clooney and hey if the man doesn't get sexier and sexier as years go by.
I don't think I mentioned it, but did you know I used the real Winchester crest. I'm planing on doing another when I get a better shot on Dean's pendant or... I just got an idea. Let's wait and see...

Date: 2006-03-06 12:37 pm (UTC)And George was awesome, but he's always awesome in my book. I don't always like his movies, but I've always liked him. So I wasn't upset that Jake didn't win.

Date: 2006-03-06 04:36 pm (UTC)And yeah, Winchester vs. Halliwell will remain het. There are certain things I like slash for and certain things I don't. And while Chris/Dean could be some fucked up interesting thing, it doesn't fit in this storyline.
