it's snowing and I'm eating bad today...

Sorta snow day! We got to come into work an hour late this morning and the boss is buying those of us who showed up lunch and probably letting us leave early. Woo-hoo. This has the starts of an awesome Valentine's Day.
First, let's start with yesterday's Tuesday Ten because I forgot to post it then.
The Tuesday Ten:
1. What is your greatest fear? I fear all bugs, big and small. It comes out of a very scarring experience at Girl Scout camp and I just freak out beyond belief.
2. Which words or phrases do you most overuse? “Dude” and “yer mom” and “boy if I had a nickel”
3. What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? how self-criticizing I am, usually over really stupid things
4. Which talent would you most like to have? I wish I was a musical prodigy who could pick up an instrument and be amazing with it.
5. If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be? Someone who has all her shit together and just focus on enjoying life all the time.
6. Where would you like to live? I’m pretty happy with South Jersey/Philadelphia area…though Ireland is always appealing (I love that when I was there *I* was considered tan).
7. Who are your favorite writers? Michael Chabon, Bret Easton Ellis, Megan McCafferty, Michael Cunningham (I don’t always like his plots, but Jesus, I love the way he writes)…
8. What do you like most about your appearance? I have a perfect nose and really great smile.
9. If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be? My dad would still be alive.
10.What do you most value in your friends? honesty

I didn't watch Gilmore Girls last night. Mostly because I love Lorelai/Christopher and I'm not sure my heart could've taken it, but also because my sister and I wanted to watch 24 and it's her "birthday week" so she gets her way.
Episodes 6.8 & 6.9
As a bleeding heart liberal, I should find this show repugnant and horrible, but I can't help myself. I love it and I love Jack Bauer so much that I'll forgive him anything. Everyone else? Not so much.
It's nice to see that Jack's father is a manipulative bastard on top of murderer. So not only does he kill his son, but then he tries to make Jack feel guilty as though Jack was responsible. Nice parenting. Seriously, where the hell did Jack come from?
Poor Morris. I think he withstood a whole lot of torture before finally giving in. He's not a field agent and he did better than a lot of field agents would do (like season four with that agent captured by the Chinese...they only TALKED about torturing him and he caved)...but honestly, both he and the lady - dude, how could you not tell the TERRORISTS were going to kill you. Stupid, stupid, stupid. They can't leave behind witnesses.
Yikes, three more nukes are armed.
They will not make me like that bastard, Tom. I think he's playing along to get more information from Chad Lowe's character on this assasination plan, but I will NOT like him. I hate how this show makes me almost start to like the most obnoxious characters.
And who is running this plan to remove Wayne? They say the creepy VP isn't in on it, but secret service must be...how else would someone get that close to the President.
Jack's sister-in-law is a fucking MORON. Just tell Jack what is going on. He would be able to protect you and your son...now you're just causing more problems all around and those deaths are on your hands and Milo better not die. I'll be pissed.
And I'm betting that Jack's father just checked into the motel under his own name...he seemed to be driving his own car. He wouldn't be that hard to FIND. And Jack is capable of COVERT.
Ugh.
My pretty terrorist is back. God, I love him. He's so hot. Though wouldn't it have been funny if he turned out to still be a terrorist and he took the President hostage? Fun times.
All in all, two great hours of television. I hope Jack's sister-in-law dies. Moron.

To everyone on my friends list (new friends and old): Happiest of Valentine's Days! I love you all. Each of you make me smile, laugh, and think in various ways throughout the year and my life is that much better for having y'all in it. ::huggles each of you::
Now I'm off to catch up on friends list and pretend to work hard on a snow day!
Ciao darlings!

Date: 2007-02-14 08:01 pm (UTC)I cackled insanely at the end of GG last night. Not that it really matters now, since Lorelai's an idiot for doing what she did in the first place, but it was like, DUH.
Sorry, I'm still pissed about the whole thing. Argh.

Date: 2007-02-15 12:56 am (UTC)It's okay. I was totally a Luke/Lorelai girl until midway through last season when he turned into an ass and Lorelai suddenly went all martyr-type until she just blew. But I've always lovec Christopher...bah.
