Here I Am

What is up with livejournal and the stupid error messages I get when I try to comment? Argh.

If anyone wants a dreamwidth invite, I have some.

But the point of this post was a little pimpage:

-oldschoolfic is running a Spring Fling Challenge. Sign-ups are open until April 15th and it's open to shows that are no longer airing. Want some new Gilmore Girls fic? Miss Kindred the Embraced? The only caveat, of course, is that if you request some really small fandom (like The Class or Party of Five - hint, hint), make sure other friends who share your love of such fandoms sign up.

-genderbendbb has opened sign up for writers for the second Genderbender Big Bang. I'm personally torn on whether or not I can commit, but I know a lot of you play with genderbenders, so go have some fun and write lots of awesome fic!

-have you guys check out sorkinverse? It has challenges with teams and it's dedicated to all Aaron Sorkin shows. Sports Night! West Wing!

I'm extremely tired today. I attempted to go to bed at a reasonable hour, but like most Sunday nights, I couldn't fall asleep and kept tossing and turning. I really hate mornings, especially mornings I have to work.

I think I have figured out what I'm going to do for my Supernatural Big Bang. I started writing a scene of the What Is and Never Should Be from Sam POV piece, so I think I'm going to focus on that. If I find that I'm stuck, by starting early enough I might be able to switch to one of the other ideas. Though really, this is me. And early for deadline and me don't go together too often. People would start to think I'm a pea-pod person.

It's just I really, really want this fic set from before, during, and after that episode from Sam's POV. So I figure I might as well write it. At the very least, I'll enjoy my fic.

So Torchwood friends: Where is the good schmoop? Specifically, Owen-related schmoop? I'm cool with any pairing if it features Owen. Hee. I don't mind angst, hurt/comfort if it ends happily.

Oh life, why must you be so busy? And by "life" what I really mean is work. Argh. I don't mind covering the other position for the most part, but part of that job is packing for fairs/distributions and god, I hate that. It's so annoying.

In other news, I've lost my cotton-picking mind and signed up for spn_j2_bigbang. I have an idea and I think it will end up being gen, but really, I have to wait and see how Dean and Sam react to that, especially with something of this length. But I think it's time for me to try my hand at a long story again. It used to be all that I wrote and now I tend not to go in that direction. So wish me luck.

Also, winchestercon is coming to Boston! Who's planning to go? I figure I went all the way to Los Angeles last year, I can manage a quick train trip up to Boston. And it was a lot of fun and cool to meet so many wonderful people...so, yeah. Tentatively planning to go!

Not much else to report at the moment. Work has fried my brain so I'm going to wait to do some reviews of television shows. Just know that the Terminator series owns, but I love all the movies (yes, even three, ::hangs head::), so I'm probably a bit biased. And One Tree Hill is back and Nathan with the grunge look is YUMMY (even if he's an ass). So I'm watching tv, just have no brain function after work to do anything about it.
