The Supernatural Friday Five (spn_fridayfive) - Week 30

1. If Dean had been given Sam's abilities and the predicament with the yellow-eyed demon, do you think Dean would have been able to handle it any better than Sam?

Dean already blames himself for enough that goes on, I can only imagine what he would do with the information that his mother died because the demon had plans for him. He would then be the reason that Sam had no normal life. He would be the reason his father couldn’t be the best father and ended up dead. It would rip him apart. And Sam knows he can count on Dean, but you know Dean always worries that Sam is going to leave him again…so he would probably just shut down and take off.

( just to be on the safe side since the question begins with basic premise of last night's episode... )

3. Everyone has guilty pleasures, so what are Sam and Dean's? Is Sam a Lifetime Channel junkie? Does Dean secretly fangirl Britney Spears? You tell us!

Dean loves Oprah and Doctor Phil and Lifetime movies. Sam has a love of the dime store romances because when he was young that was all he could get his hands on and he came to enjoy them.

4. When she was alive, what do you think Mary's job was, and what did she study in college?

I don’t really know. Maybe a teacher since she would’ve possessed immense patience to deal with John Winchester?

5. As much as we hate to think it, Sam and Dean's story will have to end one day. There are many hunters out there, but needless to say, our boys have left quite the impression. How do you imagine they will be remembered by hunters and civilians alike?

They were a great hunting team who always put saving someone before the hunt itself (unlike people like Gordon).

I was planning to get caught up on some of my fic reading tonight, but I'm so tired and I have to be at the gym early tomorrow morning to meet with my trainer before I go see Spiderman 3. So I might collapse with my NYT crossword puzzle book instead.

Or maybe I'll just watch Supernatural and Heroes from this week again. And think about two of my favorite sets of brothers making out, possibly mixing it up.

So far, I’ve spent my day at work with very little to do at the moment, counting down the remaining hours in the day until it’s done with and I can focus on Gilmore Girls finale (Maybe Rory will just disappear! Wouldn’t that be fab?!). Sure, one could point out, “Hey Tommy, you know you’ll have to do the same reports next month so why not get a jumpstart?” And to that I say – do you know me at all?

Anyway, the original plan was to accomplish much writing this past weekend – original or fandom, I didn’t care, as long as I wrote something – but alas, I did not. Partly because people decided to fill up my weekend (they didn’t want me to be lonely while the sister – aka roommate – was out of town...Yay?) and partly because allergies were insane the past few days, causing the headache ‘o doom that would not go away with all the painkillers I possess (and I possess quite a few). So I spent much of my actual alone time curled up in a ball on my bed with compresses on my head while I moaned, “The pain. oh, the pain.”

Fortunately, I was able to post my story for the Battlestar Galatica Ficathon and the person it was intended for didn’t completely hate it. So not a complete waste of a weekend...hopefully soon I’ll have some time to sit down and read the stories that have been posted there, aside from the one written for me which is awesome and love and yayness!

Also in the world of writing, last week svmadelyn brough up the idea of a WIP pact with a deadline that we all set to finish one of those WIPs that is killing us (and possibly others) and needs to be finished.

I have plenty of those on my plate so I signed up. At first I was going to ask those on my update list and here which they thought I should work on. I have a feeling it would’ve been TIMH, but instead, I went with New Journey (roswell, maria story) because that’s been the longest outstanding one outside of Whatever (which is actually finished in a notebook somewhere in my apartment – I just have to find it and type it/make edits). My two “If I’m crazy-lucky-and-have-extra-time” to finish as well are TIMH and Power of Two…but not sure I’ll finish either of those by July 25th. Maybe have some chapters once I get New Journey done, but we’ll see.

So wish me and the other members of wip_it_good luck with this pact!

So why is it that two of the shows that I enjoy are premiering the weekend I’ll be in the Poconos. I mean, yes I have a TIVO for this reason, but premieres are meant to be watched as they air – or so I tell myself to feel better about my lameness. But I’m not giving up girl’s weekend in the Poconos, complete with outlet shopping and inebriation.

But 4400 and Entourage start that weekend and I think they might be on at the same time (fortunately I get about eight different time zones of HBO, so that’s okay).

Also, doesn’t Queer As Folk start next Sunday? I need to remember that.

See, even with summer, I have plenty of television to watch.

The weekend is over. Nice long weekend is over. It's a very sad thing, especially since tomorrow will be insane at work.

My head is filled with much Jakey G goodness after seeing Day After Tomorrow this weekend and it makes me think that I might update transienttimes with some Jakeness. Because. Yes. What Hedda and I really need to focus on is Jakeness rather than somehow getting Emmy where she needs to go. Heh.

Syd/Sark, Luke/Lorelai, harry/draco, josh/donna -- I love them all because they have such...potential. A lot of them have banter and chemistry and yumminess.

Oooh...very easy. I so, so, so want Sydney from Alias and Jack Bauer from 24 together. Think of the possible sexual combustability!
