Here I Am

It's Friday! The weekend is upon me! And I don't think I have any plans...well, pretty sure, but that could change if I'm not careful. I'm hoping to get some writing done, but mostly, I want to do a lot of reading. Books are starting to pile up in my room because I'm so far behind. And the library is having a book sale today and tomorrow - I must check it out. I have an addiction.

And the new rachelcaine Morganville Vampires book is out. I have to pick that up in the next few days. I love that series. It's an interesting take on the vampire lore and I really like the main characters. Especially Shane and Michael. They are yummy.

Also, I'm a little more than halfway through Evernight by claudiagray and I am loving it. Bianca is a great character and the whole premise is very interesting. I'll do a better review once I finish, including spoilers, but for now, I just suggest picking it up if you're looking for a read with a good, young female character.

Tomorrow I'm trying to get NKOTB tickets for the Philadelphia show in November. We were unable to get any for AC, so this is our last shot. And I've never missed a New Kids concert in my area. Sure, I was 12-14 the last time around, but still. Irish Power, my friends. It'll be amusing at the very least.

Still can't find any good Samantha Who fic. this makes me sad and think I need to write some for myself. And I don't have time for such things. Must remember to nominate this for yuletide this year. I want fic! Lots of Sam/cute boy fic!

I am still recovering from last night's Supernatural. I just love our show and today I was surrounded with people who just don't understand the love. And the obsession with the Winchester brothers. Obviously, they are the insane ones.

I need people to point me in the direction of ( Spoilers for last night's Supernatural... )

Saw Bourne Ultimatum. Loved it. I now want a fic where Jason Bourne, Jack Bauer (24), and Sydney Bristow (Alias) sit around talking about being the most awesome of agents! It would be awesome. They meet in a coffee shop in South America and just shoot the shit.

I've started going through the poll results and adding people to my insanejournal (tommygirl), my journalfen (tommygirl), and my greatestjournal (dastardlyspoon). I'm not leaving livejournal yet, but I'm not sure how comfortable I'm feeling about posting an R-rated fic, so I might just post it at my insane journal, but link from here. That way people can still leave comments (I'm a comment whore), but it's not on LJ servers.

1) Sometimes I think my trainer is trying to kill me. He's so lucky he's hot, my friends, otherwise I'm not sure I could tolerate his abuse masqueraded as "helping me achieve fitness goals."

2) tvm and I think everyone should take to writing lots of Andy/Sam/Dean where Andy has gone on the road with our favorite boys - gen or slash. We want it all as long as it's happy.

Some ideas:

- Sam annoyed that he has to drive with Andy and Dean high in the backseat of the Impala.
- Sam jealous of Andy and Dean's easy relationship.
- Andy using his abilities to help them on a case...

Think about it, my friends. What's better than good fic EXCEPT making me and tvm happy? Hee.

3) To those who rec stories: Ever stumble upon a story that you liked, but aren't sure you can rec because of certain issues with it. Because I'll let certain things go sometimes if I enjoy a story, but I begin to wonder if it's rec-worthy when some of the bad things I would warn about start to make it seem like, "Was she smoking crack?" And while I see nothing wrong with pointing out a few of my issues with a story when I rec it, I don't want an author to stumble upon my rec and be like, "What a bitch!" I just don't know what to do, but I'm thinking I'm might not rec it this round.

4) I still want the schmoop. Sam/Dean is preferable, but seriously, at this point...you guys know my fandoms, I need schmoop! Lots of schmoop! No one wants my kink!cliche fic to turn into really bad fic. So save yourselves and rec me!

I've started working on those ficlets for everyone in a notebook as I've been fighting bronchitis the past few days - it's an evil thing, but wonderful to sleep all day long. I say this now, but come Monday when I return to work, I'm sure I'll be weeping at the sight of my in-box.

So I figured my first afternoon back on the computer, rather than typing up what I have of ficlets or finishing off Steph's iamtheenemy story that I was going to finish last weekend, well, I'll have some fun with questions.

What five crossovers would you like to see?

1. I think everyone has heard me go on about this quite a bit already. 24/Alias - specifically the love potential of Sydney Bristow and Jack Bauer. Oh, it could be great. They would be perfect together. Jack is so much better than whiny Vaughn.

2. O.C./Dead Like Me - because sdlucly refuses to write it, someone must. Seth Cohen as a new reaper. Think of the possibilities! It would be fabulous. Someone needs to write it because the idea won't leave me alone - do we really want me writing it?

3. Charmed/Roswell - both supernatural. I like the idea of Maria having some sort of power because she was always the "plain" one during Roswell's run and I hated that view of her. She was special without powers, man, but imagine her with powers.

4. Joan of Arcadia/Wonderfalls - they both talk to God, or something. Better to say they both hear voices and do as the voices demand. They can meet in the psycho ward. heh.

5. Roswell/Farscape. I don't know how really. Haven't thought it out a great deal. But it could work...right?

1) Name your favorite pairing?

Of all time? Good God! That's not right. There are so many in different fandoms: Seth/Ryan, Joan/Adam, Michael/Maria, Luke/Lorelai, Pyro/Rogue, Dan/Casey, Josh/Donna. Okay, I'll stop there, but there are many more, man. Many more!

2) Name your least favorite pairing?

I'm not a Polar Girl from Roswell. I don't like the idea of Michael with anyone but Maria. (Oddly enough, on occasion, I can/will read Maria with Kyle or Alex though).

3) Which character that was killed off upset you the most? Why did this one upset you more than others?

Alex on Roswell and Chris on Charmed - both were just...gah...I'm still not over it. Especially Alex's death because it was turned into the crappiest murder mystery EVER.

4) If you were able to bring back this character from the dead, how would you do it?

With Chris, it's easy enough. He just went back to his future. That's what I believe and I refuse to hear otherwise...fa, la, la. For Alex, er, that's a bit harder. Um, it was all a dream?

5) What song most reminds you of your favorite pairing?

"Stay" by Lisa Loeb reminds me of Michael/Maria.

New Battlestar Galatica and Stargate Atlantis this evening! There is a bright spot to the past few days of horrible illness! I'm almost caught up on all my television viewing, trying to pretend that I didn't see Smallville this past week, and wanting to do bad things with Jack Bauer on 24.
